On vacation and Cows is always a tradition. Been 2 times in the past 2 weeks and single portions have been acceptable/fair. Decided to go today and it was downright unacceptable. The ice cream didn’t fit in the cone - it was more a “snack size/baby serving.” The cashier also was looking as the “scooper” scooped and you could tell he was noticing the odd, small portion. Additionally, the scooper was rushing to go as fast as he could, yet there was no one in line behind us. I am not sure why we received such abnormal service, but maybe this is a signal to expand our variety to shops...

I know it's sacrilege to criticize 'the Cow's Ice Cream parlor' here on PEI, however my experience with my wife and son was not the Glorious experience everyone raves about. To order three ice cream cones it took 3 staff two tries to get our order correct and that's with our seven year old not getting his first choice and settling. The merchandise side of the store was a totally different experience with a very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable staff member provide us with excellent service. The store is fun with novel merchandise that I haven't seen...

Waited in line at least 30 minutes for a cone watching 1 person scoop ice cream while 3 other staff stood and watched as the line grew longer. At one point they asked the cone dipper to help. He proceeded to ask 1 person for their order, was baffled by the flavor choice and then went back to his 'dipping" station after 1 order. As a former restaurant owner, I can't imagine who would leave their store with this bunch of incompetents! The man ahead of me noted how the scoopers hair kept going in the ice cream. Sorry COWS, I ...

17 Bucks for 2 Ice Creams (insane anyways!) and they were melting and dropping down immediately, we weren't able to eat it before the top scoop ended up falling down on the floor entirely. The cones were completely soggy at the bottom so that the ice cream ran down from there as well. It was a complete mess everywhere. Staff was super unhelpful and rude, claimed it would be because it would be so hot outside - it was 5:30 pm and there was a chill breeze, sun wasn't shining at all. Not even an excuse was made which is just unacceptable and rude.

The last time that I was visiting PEI was over 25 years ago. One of the most memorable moments/places at that time was coming to cows for ice cream (multiple times). I got my chance this past week and it was as memorable as before. This location is in downtown Charlottetown in a busy tourist area. Staff are friendly, lots of ice cream flavors to choose from with souvenirs and clothing to buy. I've been to 4 cows locations in 3 different provinces so far and I hope to see west coast ones soon too...

They really are THE best ice cream! I would say not only at PEI, but the best in general. Staff were friendly and patient with us while we were deciding which flavours we should get. They offered free taste but we already knew what we wanted. :) We all had different flavours and it tasted sooooo delicious! We wanted to have more but had a dinner reservation and we surely didn’t want to ruin our appetites. Gotta have cows ice cream if you’re at PEI. They also have funny souvenir shirts for sale.
