I went to 643 University Ave, Charlottetown, PE C1E 1C5 today to buy ice cream for my children. They were running a 99-cent promotion, so we ordered five cones and used my daughter’s coupon for one more, making it six in total.
My friend happened to be working there and greeted us warmly. Another female staff member also kindly greeted my 5-year-old daughter and said the kids were cute. Everything felt pleasant until a man named Ritesh suddenly spoke harshly to the staff who greeted us. His words and attitude shocked me, my children, and even the staff themselves. They looked embarrassed and immediately went back to the kitchen without being able to continue their friendly greetings. At that moment, I felt sorry for my friend and the other female staff member, because they were put in such an awkward situation simply for greeting us.
At that time, my family was the only customer at the counter, and there was absolutely no problem. Yet Ritesh, who was not even wearing the same uniform as the other staff, acted extremely rude. When he handed us the ice cream, he placed it on the counter in a very disrespectful and dismissive way, rather than handing it properly. I watched his behavior carefully, and because of his repeated rudeness, both my husband and I felt extremely uncomfortable and offended.
This kind of behavior is unacceptable. If the store cannot handle promotions properly without being rude to customers, then they should not run them at all.
Because of this experience, I do not want to go back to this location, and I also do not want to recommend it to others. A place that treats families and children in such a disrespectful way does not deserve customers. I have never seen any store in PEI treat children in such an unpleasant and...
Read moreMy sisters and I went through the drive-through. The staff member on the machine was not paying attention and kept misunderstanding us. We asked to restart our order and gave up the second time ordering full combos even though that is not what we asked for. She wasn't rude, just not listening. It was around the late lunch rush hour but still very frustrating. We drove away with our order and parked the car at the next store where I needed to go shopping. That is when we realized we received no sauces. No ketchup for fries, no sweet and sour sauce for the chicken fingers, and worst of all no sauce on our spicey chicken burger! This is definitely one of the worst tasting food we have ever received at a Wendy's. We couldn't even cover up how dry and bland everything was with a dipping sauce. It was really...
Read moreI usually visit this Wendy’s location every Saturday around 11–12 p.m. with my kids, and I’ve always had a great experience. The service is friendly, the staff was great acknowleged and they were White staff. However, I visited on a Sunday evening around 6 p.m. and had a very different experience. The staff working at that time (Indian) didn’t greet or acknowledge me at all, and the atmosphere felt dismissive. I ended up leaving without ordering, and as I walked away, I heard laughter from the staff, which made me feel even more disrespected. I want to be clear—I’m Indian myself, and I’m disappointed . Regardless of background, this kind of behavior reflects poorly on the team and...
