If I could leave negative stars I would! 👎👎👎👎Absolutely awful experience tonight!! We arrived at 5pm. Waited not even 5 minutes to be seated. They weren't terribly busy as the dinner rush hadn't begun yet, the parking lot had tons of parking available. Once seated we ordered our drinks. Not long after (maybe 5 minutes) we placed our son's order as my hubby and I were still undecided. 10 minutes later our waitress took our order. Our son's meal came out 10-15 minutes later. The restaurant started to get a bit busier as more people arrived. But there week still some tables available. Our son finished his meal (baked lasagne) in 20 minutes, and as soon as he finishes, the manager happened to be passing and cleared his plate. Our waitress came back and asked how his meal was and he ordered ice cream which she brought almost immediately. Nothing was said about our meals. She passed by our table SEVERAL times over the next 15-20 minutes or so, and she never made any eye contact with us or communicated as to what was happening with our dinners. 2 baked pasta dishes. We saw 2 parties who came in AFTER us receive their dinners (steaks). We sipped our drinks and became frustrated as we thought this was a long time to be waiting and watching others who came in after us get their food was even more frustrating. We finally flagged down a different waitress and asked if she could find out where our food was. We saw these other parties leave at this point while waiting to find out where our food was. Our waitress comes over and rudely says "what's going on, what's the problem here?" As if we interrupted or bothered her. Seriously?! I looked her dead in the eye and said we have not received our meals, you have not communicated anything to us, it's been now 1.5 hours for pasta?! I'm a diabetic and need to eat something. Her response was well we are busy. I told her no, you took our order BEFORE you got busy. Miss manager comes over, and has the same response, we're busy, and does not want to hear that we ordered before it got busy and watched people eat and leave that came in after us, and offers a salad while she goes to find out where our food is. At this point we are done and reject the manager's pathetic offer and follow miss manager to pay for our son's meal and drinks so we can leave. When they pulled the bill up on the computer, we clearly see that our 2 meals were never even entered by this pitiful waitress so they weren't even being cooked!
The owner came over and wiped the bill after miss manager wanted to charge us for our disgusting experience. He shook my husband's hand and offered his sincere apology after my husband explained he had been in the restaurant industry for years and this experience is what loses tons of business. Especially for a well known local place like this! We come here all the time and have never EVER had an experience like this. Not sure if we will ever go here again. That "manager" needs to brush up on her management skills, and that waitress needs to be retrained on proper table and customer service. We haven't seen her before, because the other long term waitresses are amazing! This experience definitely left a bad taste in our...
Read moreMy first time at Bozzinis and what a special dining experience, totally worth the money spent! My friend is from Mexico City -and he was very impressed with food quality and ambiance!
First of all, the place is huge and much larger from inside then what you see outside. Lots of various seating sections, large in the center and more private by the windows, lots of space, including corner sections, very cosy with old style decor, we were there Monday evening and the place was full to the brim with locals, hardcore seniors, colourful local personalities and regulars.
We were soon seated in a less busy section by the windows. It was a good choice and not so noisy.
The menu is very impressive! They have loads of choices: pastas, burgers, appetisers of any kind, Schnitzels and honey garlic chicken, greek plates, italian dishes, many pizzas etc..
Our Server was sincerely friendly and professional, casual but not too chatty and the main dishes we ordered were made to perfection.
I had chicken Fetucchini Alfredo pasta and my friend ordered Alfredo with tiger prawns baked in cheese, both plates were quite large and tasted exactly like they should, delicious! Our drinks were also very good quality. Soup of the day was..kind of ok(not like one in Frankie's) but the main dish was very good.
Only 1 Star down from the Service part: it is very slow. Either because they are busy or maybe because its just the way they operate the buisiness and the regulars don't seem to mind.
We had to wait a while to flag down our Server and then very long time for the food (and for the bill) to arrive.Once we caught her attention she gave us excelient service but do not come to Bozzini's starving, you will likely not get served very fast.
Another positive thing worth mentioning. The prices are very adequate, really not that expensive. Its a casual dining with great food, relaxed and very cool vibe and friendly athmosphere, plus what they charge is very fair compared to finer dining places in Chilliwack.
Overall a great experience,we loved the vibe and the food : we will definitely be back again...
Read moreI live in Vancouver, but come out to Chilliwack to visit a friend once or twice a year, and I almost always insist we go to Bozzinis (Chilliwack) and even left a review about 3 years ago stating how great this place was (I screen shot that review, and posted it)
This visit yesterday was disappointing.......My friend had wanted to actually go to Boston Pizza, but I insisted on Bozzinis.......
The ambiance I have to admit is great.....my friend ordered a pesto fettuccine, and I got chicken breast with lasanga......we upgraded our salads (mine was a ceasar and he got a Greek salad) .....I paid an extra dollar, so no big deal, but my friend was charged an extra $3 for his Greek salad (and we were not told of the additional charge until the bill came)
The food is ok to good (id give a 3.5 stars for food) its relatively cheap to fair
Today, I happened to be on the plaza and needed to use the washroom, so I go in and ask (cause I never just walk in an establishment to use their bathroom without asking)
A waitress then asked if it was just me dining.....I mentioned that I only needed to use the restroom.......so she said I needed to ask the lady who was on the phone (Im assuming it was the manager or owner)
she was on the phone a couple minutes......I then asked if i could use the washroom, and she said I can't if im not dining here.......I did mention I came yesterday......she then replied "That was yesterday" ......."ok, thanks (for nothing) as im leaving......then she says "Soorrry" but the kind that you can tell that they don't really care
That's ok though........I'll pass on this place going forward (and like I said, I only come a couple times a year anyways......so Im sure losing me as a customer...
