Not sure how this restaurant is rated 4.7

The good - The ambience The wait staff

The bad - The food. Not only is it really inauthentic, it does not taste good at all. There was sugar in everything, and by that I mean everything. Even the Madras curry which was supposed to be “Indian hot” had a sweet base. Also, based on the different items we tried, it does seem like all the curries have the same base curry (with lots of sugar!) and they try to add a couple of ingredients on top in an attempt to make them taste different (they don’t). Also the menu lists samosa in the veggie platter, but it came without one. When we asked about this, they said they can change the menu at their discretion. Fair enough, but you need to change the menu to reflect accurate description, or atleast train the wait staff to tell the customers something has changed. What they did was quite dishonest.

I will mention that the sweet lassi was good and so was the gulabjamun.

The wait time - for this one, I’m prepared to give the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they were swamped when we went there for lunch, but still, waiting for our order for 1 hour and 15 mins is a bit much.

Customer service - no apologies for the messed up order or the “impromptu “ changes in the menu. The manager was quite rude.

Overall a very underwhelming experience. Would...

This restaurant in regards to the food, is by far one of the best Indian food restaurants anywhere. Honestly, the selection, flavor, presentation and everything is incredible. The servers and people that work there are incredibly nice as well. HOWEVER, when we made reservations for six o'clock, (and we double checked a couple of hours before that it was still okay) and then have to wait until 6:45 to get to our table was bad enough but we then waited until 8:40 to receive our food! This was a Saturday night and they were slammed with take out orders. The waiter informed us that he was sorry but that the takeouts made up seventy percent of their business so....like I say the food was amazing but by the time it came we were hungry and tired and cranky. The server kept saying thank you for our understanding.... They need to have a separate station for the takeouts so that it doesn't affect the sit down part of the restaurant. We'll definitely go back again but midweek only...good food or not, busy or not, this was really...

Delicious food!! We ordered the beef samosa platter along with panipuri to start. The beef samosa was extremely good, not greasy at all. Panipuri was very good as well but a very small portion. Butter chicken, chicken korma, and lamb saag were for the main course. All were very good but the butter chicken was our favorite. There is not too much meat in each order, the lamb saag seemed like there were only four small pieces of meat in it. We also ordered three kinds of naan and two orders of rice pilau. The rice was very light and fluffy and the naan was good. I wish there was more garlic on it but that may just be my personal preference. We ordered hot which was not hot enough for our taste, next time we would go for the Indian hot. My wife and I like very spicy food. The appetizers took about half an hour to come out. The food took just over an hour. I think they were short staffed. It was just over $100 to feed three people. I would recommend...

I am writing my first review ever just to tell people seeing this how bad the first experience was. We ordered food today in dinner which was tandoori chicken ( suppose to be dry chicken with more chicken and less veggies ) ! The one they gave us such bad quality filled with unhealthy smelly oil, on top of that the chicken pieces were so small and had more veggies! Looked more like ugly karahi chicken. The worst was when we called to complain to the restaurant the owner told us eat it or throw up to you and no need to come and order again !! This old guy at the main front desk probably the owner needs some ethics and etiquettes to talk to a customer ! At least he should have some patience and take the customer feedback gracefully and apologize for non customer satisfaction instead of bullshitin*g on the phone. By the way this was the first time and last time we ordered here as we moved from surrey to try this restaurant out but never again !

The place was packed so it must be popular, service was slow as molasses but understandable with how busy it was (although ideally they would have been properly staffed instead). I loved the menu selection. We got butter paneer and mixed veggie korma. I was here with my elderly step mom who finds anything more than black pepper too spicy but I like my food screaming hot spicy. I assured our server of this and asked for hottest sauce possible on the side. She looked amused and when the dishes were brought and she had already walked away I realized she had brought tamarind sauce which is sweet. I guess she didn’t believe me which is common in Indian restaurants. Unfortunately it was so busy we never saw her again or anyone for that matter and I was starving due to the long wait so I was stuck with it. Would have liked to try their dishes spicy. Also the naan did not seem warm or fresh which would have been nice
