Saw the reviews and had to try this place based on the reputation they have online. It was not as expected. I have tried this placed 3 times hoping to love it but that has not happened yet. I strongly suspect that the majority of reviews in this place are from family and friends and not

The food Is hit and miss. Some items are quite good and some fall short in my opinion.

For instance I had the Chicken Club Flatbread and it was quite good (however I asked for no tomato and there was tomato) but since the wait for our order was 55 minutes (on the phone I was told it would be 35 but when I arrived the cranky guy told me in a less than pleasant tone not ready yet) When I finally did get my order I did enjoy the flatbread as mentioned above and I also got a huge portion of very tasty tater tots with some sort of chipotle(?) dip that was delicious. I really liked that dip.

On another occasion I ordered the Roast Beef Melt and Swedish Meatball Soup. I was pretty excited but ended up very disappointed. The sandwich was packed with Roast Beef which would normally be amazing but this was not homemade roast beef this was some sort of processed beef slices and they were not good at all. They tasted like actual cardboard, no seasoning and no flavour. I also think they were certainly not cut against the grain as they were stringy, chewy and tough not suitable for a sandwich. I pulled out 98% of the meat and it was palatable. I dunked it in the Swedish Meatball soup. I was so excited to try this sadly It was nothing more than what seemed like canned Cream of Mushroom with some frozen meatballs and rotini thrown in. I pulled out a meatball and it was defiantly one of those premise, prefrozen kind that you buy in bag of the freezer section. I was under the impression that the soups were homemade. So that was sad to me.

Lastly I tried the Hero. I liked the flavours but as with the Roast Beef Melt it was just so much bread. I may be in the minority but bigger isn't always better. I had to pull it apart and eat it opened faced but it was much better after that. Nice rich flavours. Again I was treated to tater tots and that spectacular dip they give you.

Listen this place isn't horrible or anything the amount of food you get for the price is certainly fair. So if you are a quantity over quality person then you will be happy for sure. I just wrongly assumed for the reviews that the food was homemade and that is what I expected so the for me the quality isn't there. I also don't really appreciate being told your food will be ready at this time then showing and waiting an extra 20 minutes. I know the saying quality takes time but in this case the quality is not worth the extra 20 minutes or the cranky attitude I got from the cook letting me know it was going to take an extra 20. Every time I have ordered it has been minimum 15 minutes longer than they told me. It is rude to waste people's time...

A pocket of gold! We discovered this place after our original plans to eat at a different place was cancelled as it was closed.

And I’m GREATFUL for those change of plans.

Please do yourself a favour and make this your stop to go when finding a place to eat! I’m about to tell you why.

Service:

Personalized. There’s no fakeness! These are real people, with genuine kindness and amazing to talk to. We had no clue about the menu or anything, but we were invited to come in and take a seat. The man ran through the menu with us, describing it perfectly, and giving us an idea on how it was prepared and how big it was! He even cooks the food so perfect menu knowledge! He was very friendly, and easy-going which makes ordering less intimidating, and you feel like you’re talking to someone you know! Throughout our meal, the lady made sure we were good and was around if we ever needed anything! Thank you for your excellent and personalized service!

Food:

Excellent! Perfect! Has no equal! You’re not going to find food like theirs elsewhere! We ordered cheesy tator tots, which was a generous portion, layer of tator tots, and on each layer of tator tots was melted cheese! So yum! We then had The Bubbanator (The One and Only!). This is a 14 inch round pizza with their homemade pizza sauce, crumbled bacon, ham, salami, meatballs, onions, olives, peppers, pineapple, generous amount of mozza cheese, and cheddar cheese. A touch of their homemade bbq sauce ontop. I will warn you, go HUNGRY, and be prepared to share or take leftover home. This pizza is fully loaded with toppings! Perfect amount of dough used for the pizza, not too much and not too little at all. So many flavours in each bite, you will keep going for more! The ingredients used to make the food is locally sourced and their local baker provides them with bread!

Last but not least, Environment:

Warm and friendly when you walk in. The restaurant is clean, comfortable seating, great bathroom. Music gives you that chill, relaxed vibe. You’re here to enjoy the food and take time out of your day to spend with company, socialize, relax or of course, eat!

If you read my long review and made it this far, Thank you! Whoever you may be. But don’t just take my word for it, give it a chance!

To Bubbas, thank you for the wonderful experience! I’m sad I don’t live close, but it’ll give me an excuse to come out more this way!

Sincerely, the two guys who invited one of their moms to help them eat the pizza!...

Trying to be as fair as possible here. I'll start with the pizza we ordered which was on keto crust and very tasty and while a little more pricey than our usual place was a good value for keto pizza. Unfortunately, the wait time was excessive. When I ordered for pickup I was told 45 minutes, when I arrived 45 minutes later and walked into Red Swan the waiting area was full of frustrated looking patrons who were clearly waiting for their own orders. The pleasant young man at the register took my name and informed me that my order would be another 25 minutes until ready. I paid and waited in my car as the waiting area was full. 25 minutes later I came back in to most of the same people still waiting. I asked the young man how my order was coming and he respectfully checked and told me it was just going in the oven and would be out pretty soon. One of the patrons said these delays are pretty common as this was his third time waiting over 30 minutes past his promise time. He said the pizza is good but he didn't value the quality of food over his wasted time and would be going back to the local staple pizza company in Chilliwack. After another 15 minutes of waiting my order finally came out. During this time I only saw one other order come out and patrons who had been waiting when I first arrived were still there when I left.

In summary the pizza is really good and I felt badly for the young man out front doing damage control as he really was pleasant. Unfortunately, I have to agree with the comments made by the waiting patrons and door dash drivers regarding wait times. The wait of an hour and a half after expectations were made at half that are just not worth it, especially when my usual place can have my order ready in 15 minutes with food quality on par. If the owner reads this, I think it is awesome that you are so busy and the young man (I suspect your son) did an excellent job in a tough spot, but expections need to be better managed with your customers regarding timelines if you want to...

Great pit stop for lunch if you’re travelling by or in the area. Heck, it’s worth the detour. Amazing sandwiches and generous portions. Tried the BLT with tater tots (they take a while to make, but def worth the wait!). The pic shows a lot of bread, but there’s also a lot of filling in there too! Could’ve split this meal easily. Also tried the barley soup and it was delicious, hearty, and satisfying. Flavours were spot on. Bread to filling ratio was a bit off for my liking, but it was soooo gooooood. Clearly they care about food here. Friendly service. Will stop by the next time I’m in town.

True manwiches for the truly hungry so sharpen your teeth, bring your appetite, and leave the vegans at home. Though there are some cheese topped vegetarian options. These two take pride in making a great variety of fresh, meaty, offerings with locally fresh baked bread, and lovingly home made sauces. We came across Bubba's by chance and it quickly became a regular stop otw to Kelowna. Plan for extra time though. Every meal is made fresh to order and takes as long as it takes. Trust me, it's worth waiting for.
