Gon Sushi — Restaurant in Chilliwack

Ordered from skip at 3:30. Delivered at 5:05.

Missing 3/4 of my order. I call them, they insist the driver grabbed both bags. The one bag I did get contained a soggy deep fried roll that they informed me was sitting for over an hour waiting on skip.

Like how disappointing is it that you think it's okay to send out food like that. It made me write this review because they literally didn't care how the food was when it got to me.

As a restaurant, regardless if it's skips issue, you should always make sure you're food is too notch, unfortunately that's the cost you have to incur when you use 3rd party delivery. Look at all the extra revenue overall they make you, and literally you guys didn't care at all and started at bag sitting at the front, knowing the rolls are deepfried just getting soggy.

Last time we spent $106. And this time $59.

Just beware folks. I would rate zero if I could just for the lack of accountability let alone this...

Had a lunchbox meal here for the first time. place is cozy and modernly decorated. Box came with Beef Teriyaki, assorted Tempura, 3 piece sushi, bowl of rice (optional without charge, which is nice to have a choice). Soup came nice and hot which I think should always be. Tempura was delicious and the side salad tasted fresh. Now the improvement, the Beef Teriyaki was, for the most part, chewy and some cases hard to chew (did not finish). The service was great. When the server came by to check on me I mentioned the beef to her and she talked to the kitchen and offered me if I wished to change to chicken instead and I accepted... I thought it was a nice touch. The chicken was also dry but definitely was still better than the beef. Overall, I say this is a good place for lunch.. I'll pick this place over Maki Yaki I tried for lunch the day before. P.S. this lunch box was $10 and Maki Yaki...

I ordered Rainbow Roll, ½ Salmon Sashimi, ½ Tuna Sashimi, Assorted Tempura and a bowl of rice.

Originally I was going to only give them 3 or 4 stars. They brought me burnt rice cooker rice. A FAUX PAS to an Asian from a restaurant. A mention and the server immediately replaced it with a fresh bowl of rice.

They redeemed themselves and earned their 5 stars because the rest was very fresh, very good with very decent portions. Their prices are very reasonable as well. Additionally, I really appreciate it when a sushi restaurant actually cuts the sashimi to proper grade and removes the sinewy parts. Nothing worse than a sushi restaurant that charges for top shelf then serves paper thin end cuts. These...
