Decided to celebrate my son's birthday as well as school is out with a road trip. I FB messaged Mamacita's to make reservations two months in advance (reservation was for June 28th). I also inquired mid-June regarding birthday celebration and was informed that they would provide the birthday person a slice of cake as well as sing happy birthday. The day I arrived there, I was informed that we did not have any reservation and I showed them the messenger history. The second waitress said that sometimes "she" does not put it into their book and it's best to call to make reservations. TIP: call to make any reservations since it was quite packed and thankfully they had expanded and opened up for more tables/seating areas.

FOOD: we ordered guacamole, salsa, and ceviche + chips; 3 chicken tacos; a taco bowl; and grilled chicken with mango salsa entree. The dips were quite tasty and fresh. The chicken tacos looked really good (it was for the kids); my husband liked his taco bowl with an amazing, refreshing green dressing. My chicken mango salsa entree was good, the chicken was alittle dry but still flavourful with small refried beans, cup of rice, and cabbage that comes with the amazing green dressing.

Overall, food is very good for a small town area. I'm minusing one star due to service, we did not got any drink refills (after getting it initially when we sat down at our table) or check ups after we got our main dishes as well as the hiccup in reservation. Obviously we did not get the nice birthday celebration and went to Diary Queen to...

We went for supper. Not our first time going in. ALWAYS had a tremendous time and wonderful food. Expected the same, again. Server came and took our drink order. Someone brought our drinks. Server came and took our appetizer order. She was specific "... appetizer, I'll come back for your food order". We ordered beef nachos. We looked around when we came in and they had like 4 tables with people at them. I'm not bothered by waiting for a meal, so we just talked amongst ourselves. Without any notice, out came our food orders and they started putting them on the table. I asked where our nachos were and the server looked startled and said she'd ask. Original server came over and told us that they were still in the oven and ahed bring them out as soon as they were ready. Now, I don't actually time everything, but it was only 5 minutes or so between taking our appetizer order and coming back for our food order. They prepared 2 quesadilla meals and an enchilada meal in less time than it takes nachos to cook? We told them to cancel our appetizer since our meals were already on the table. There was no complaint as to the amount if food on the plates. However, the enchiladas were quite dry and the quesadillas needed ALL the condiments to be tasty. NOT at ALL what we remembered from past experiences. This was not right, but it did not seem that busy to frazzle staff. Left without tipping and quite...

Recently visited Cold Lake with my girlfriend, and after some debate on where to eat, we decided to try some Mexican cuisine, and I’m sure glad we did because I ended up having one of the best burrito dishes I’ve ever tasted.

The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a laid-back vibe that made the experience even better. The service was also great with friendly and helpful staff.

We started off by sharing a plate of homemade nacho chips paired with a shrimp and crab salsa. The salsa was incredibly fresh, packed with flavor, and had just the right kick, perfectly balanced with a hint of cilantro.

I ordered an iced tea, and our waitress recommended their homemade version. If I could have that iced tea every day, I absolutely would. It was refreshing and absolutely delicious with every sip!

For our main course, my girlfriend and I both ordered the brunch menu item, the "Breakfast Beef Tinga Jefe". Simply put, it was the best burrito I’ve ever had. It came served on a bed of perfectly cooked rice and beans. The burrito was covered in a red sauce with sour cream and guacamole drizzled. I was worried it would be soggy but it was perfect and everything came together beautifully. Every bite was full of satisfying flavor, and I honestly didn’t want it to end.

If I lived closer, I could easily eat that dish every week. I’ll definitely be back to try more...

My mask blew off as I walked from my truck, 100kmh winds. I walk in and the lady basically, politely, said get out if I don't have a mask. After talking to her she said they can take my order and I can wait in my truck. Meanwhile everyone else was sitting down eating without a mask. Lol Covid, I mean the flu, only spreads to people that are standing btw. The carne asada has good flavor, meat choice is terrible. Tough to cut, tough to chew and was overcooked. The nachos were good, but it was a piddly amount for the price. Was going to bring some friends by, that's not happening though. Maybe instead of being indoctrinated to think the government has even a remote clue of what they are doing, you should cater to clients by having a box of masks ready behind the till, for the 6 foot walk to the table.

Immersive Mexican experience, great service, fair price, good menu, real food. I would have liked to see their ceviche done more traditionally, its a bit mech but I made the best of it and still enjoyed it. I addition the amount of fish for the cost I felt was a little lacking considering its tilapia.... No one in Mexico is cooking farmed bottom feeders so let's at least give us a bigger portion for 26$, also tacos should come on a separate plate or on a riser because the juices soaked mine by the time i got mine. All in all I would go back and try other options on the menu and still enjoyed my food and my experience. Quality feedback is an important part of improving the quality of the business. Worth a stop for sure
