Visited this DQ today and I am appalled at the lack of customer service I experienced. I placed my (what I thought would be a pretty simple order) with one of the employees. I asked for a chicken strip basket (reading off the menu) with gravy and hot sauce extra, and my husband ordered a mushroom swiss. Order total was over $16. When our order was ready a different employee called our number and presented me with just the chicken strips and fries with gravy and the mushroom swiss. I said to the employee "oh, I'm sorry I had asked for hot sauce as well" she wouldn't even look at me and said "no, you didn't pay for it" and I said "well I'm sorry but I did asked for it..where is the other cashier?" she then proceeded to roll her eyes, walk to the cooler and get a hot sauce and said "well here, you didn't get charged." And I said "thank you, and does this not come with a drink as stated on the menu board up there, or did I not get charged for that as well?" She rolled her eyes again and said "nope, not charged!" I was never presented with a receipt, however, I'm pretty sure the $16 dollars I was charged for a chicken strip basket and a burger covers the drink lady. I'm sorry that the incompetence of the employees made you feel like I was a huge inconvenience to your day. I order the SAME chicken strip basket every time I visit Dairy Queen and I NEVER have had an issue until this evening. I feel the staff at this location need better training and to the miserable employee who presented our order, you definitely need a lesson in customer service. While eating with my daughter and family in the restaurant staff were running around talking in a diffrent language in the main area very loud and other customers looking around and shaking their heads. One of their friends came in with a pizza. The non-employee sat in the dining room eating the pizza, talking loud to l staff in a diffrent language while the staff took my order, Very disappointed, my order was wrong and the staff seemed to be trying to take the order very fast and not getting my order right so he could socialize with his friend eating the pizza. Noticed he took the rest of the pizza to the back once he tried to get my simple order done, which I will again say was wrong. Came out to the dining area and him and his friend got very loud once again in a diffrent language both eating pizza. Not sure if the owner accepts other food coming in or consumed by employees or even running around like bafoons in a work place, but myself of family members will not be coming back. Save your time and money and don’t bother visiting DQ in Lacombe. There are locations in Red Deer and Ponoka that would love your patronage.
Repeatedly get orders wrong. Food is low quality compared to other DQs in the area. Staff is disorganized, slow, and seemingly unsupervised. Tonight my order from the drive thru was wrong yet again, so I turned around to have it rectified. Of course no receipt or order slip was attached to the bag.
