One of the worst lunch experience I've ever had. I've been to Browns social house in Edmonton a lot and I loved it there, it's one of my favorite places, but this one in Lloydminster is awful. Got there just past noon and me and my two coworkers quickly ordered our food. We didn't order anything crazy, we ordered normal food from their menu. By 12:15 we had already ordered our food. By 12:45 we still haven't got our food and when we asked about our food they said that it will be a few minutes. We had to be back from lunch at 1, but we thought we still had time if the food will come out in a couple minutes like the manager said. We kept waiting and at 1 our food still hasn't came out so I asked the manager what is going on and that there were people that came in after us, that had already got their food, finished and paid. That its when the manager finally admitted that they burned one of our food orders and then the manager offered to pack the lunch for us and to offer it free of charge which is nice, but it didn't make up for the fact that we had to rush back to the office to open our office as we had clients coming in soon. It also didn't make up for the fact that the manager lied to us the first time I asked what is going on and she said everything is alright. Now it's already 10 past one when we finally get the food all packed up and we rush out of there to go to the office and guess what we find out that the food order that they gave us was completely wrong. One of the food orders was completely missing, I do not know how that happened and the other two had the wrong sides. Now we were unable to eat our food for a while since we were busy at work so the food naturally got cold and my coworker had to go back to actually get her food order since they didn't give it to us. Now I appreciate the free lunch and all but you know what I would have appreciated more. To get my food order correct, on time and to be able to eat it warm, not rushing between appointments and on my actual lunch our. I would have gladly paid the bill and given up my free lunch for you know, a proper lunch. I will never go to this location again in my life, and I will never recommend it again to anyone, in fact I will tell people...
Read moreWent in yesterday (Sept 17, 2017) for the first time and it will be my last. Worst service I've ever experienced. Arrived about 2:45 pm for a late lunch and waiter Josh was enthusiastic to sit us down and bring us some adult beverages, then said he would be back to take our food order. There were 3 occupied tables in the whole place - one being a group of about 10. We had nearly finished our drink and he had not come to take our order. So we rousted him out from behind the bar. He apologized and said he was trying to get something voided off the computer. He took our order and brought me another glass of wine. That was the last we saw of him. We waited a good 1/2 hour for our food to arrive (a fish taco with fries & gravy and blackened chicken Caesar salad). The $18 Caesar salad was badly wilted and the fries & gravy were lukewarm. The gravy was coagulating on top). Someone came to take my sister's plate and I asked for a take-away container -- which I never got. So I set my plate aside and finally a young guy came along. I asked him for a take-away container and he looked at me like I had 3 heads and said, "Oh, you're going to have yo talk to your server about that." I replied, "Well he hasn't been by here at all in the last hour, so if you could get me a container..... and our bill please." He got me the container and the manager lady brought our bill. As I was punching in $0.00 for a tip, I brought up our poor service -- which I have never ever done in a restaurant, but this was just so bad that I had to !! She apologized profusely and said " this is all on me -- my responsibility - I'll be talking to them. She didn't go so far as to cancel our transaction, but told us that, "next time you come back, you call ahead & talk to me personally, and your next visit is on us and we'll make sure you have a good time."

Read moreI've been to Browns many times but I must say my experience this afternoon was the most disappointing. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with a side caesar salad. I took one bite out of the sandwich only to find a large chicken bone inside. I immediately spat it out and waited for our waitress to return so I could order something else. I let her know what had happened and was not offered a substitution but rather, she asked if I wanted it packed up to bring home. I declined politely as I had no intention of eating a chicken bone sandwich ever again. I asked to order a side caesar to replace the meal I couldn't eat. She brought it out quickly and I thought all was well. However, when the bill came, I was charged $19.00 for the chicken sandwich meal plus an additional $3.00 for the caesar salad, and then another $9.00 for the extra side caesar I ordered because I couldnt eat my sandwich! I understand paying for the salad I ate, but I dont understand paying for a meal that I couldnt. I asked the waitress to void the chicken sandwich meal due to what happened and the manager only permitted her to discount 50%. So essentially, I ended up paying $13.00 for a side caesar salad and then another $9.00 for the extra caesar in lieu of my actual meal. It was a huge waste of money overall and such a poor customer service experience. I expected better from the restaurant, both in terms of the food and in terms of how the situation was handled. No one intended there to be a bone in the chicken but regardless of that fact, the staff should have made it right. Of all the restaurants in Lloydminster, Browns will be the last on my list to visit...
