If you're looking for a taste of true Mexican flavor, look no further than Los Molcajetes. Nestled in a cozy corner of town, this restaurant delivers an unforgettable culinary experience that transports you straight to the heart of Mexico. From the warm hospitality to the sizzling dishes that arrive at your table, every moment spent here feels like a celebration of rich culture and bold flavor. On our recent visit, we ordered tacos—and let me tell you, they were nothing short of spectacular. We tried a variety: carnitas, al pastor, barbacoa, and carne asada. Each one was crafted with care, served on fresh, house-made corn tortillas that had just the right amount of chew. The meats were incredibly tender and seasoned to perfection—savory, slightly smoky, and bursting with authentic spices. The carnitas tacos had a beautiful crisp on the outside, while the inside remained juicy and succulent. The al pastor was a standout, with a perfect balance of sweet and heat from the pineapple and chili marinade. The barbacoa, slow-cooked and deeply flavorful, melted in our mouths, and the carne asada brought that satisfying char-grilled taste that made us want seconds… and thirds. What truly elevated the tacos were the fresh toppings: chopped onions, cilantro, a squeeze of lime, and a selection of house salsas ranging from mild and tangy to fiery and intense. Each bite was vibrant and balanced, and the homemade salsas added a bold punch that kept us coming back for more. The service was excellent as well. The staff were attentive and friendly, offering great recommendations and always checking in with a smile. The ambiance is welcoming—casual yet colorful, with traditional Mexican decor that adds a charming authenticity to the dining experience. To top it all off, the prices were incredibly reasonable given the quality of the food. Portions were generous, and we left feeling full, happy, and eager to return. Verdict: Los Molcajetes is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it gets. Whether you're a taco lover or just exploring Mexican cuisine, this place is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back soon—and next time, we’re trying...

A good feeling. I wanted to feel good after I ate food. It wasn’t a very long search. “The best tacos in Spruce Grove” and it brought me right to “ LOS MOLCAJETES”
Reading the reviews over the last few days… I knew this was a place I had to visit.
The smell upon opening the door, you know it’s good! The windows were clean. The tables were clean. The walls and entire area was VERY clean. Something I look for first in any place I am about to spend money.
The owner, honest, and a true gem! We spoke about how not all cinnamon is the same, and agreed with him that Ceylon cinnamon, was the best! He handed me a bag and said you’re in luck!
Along with some Mexican oregano and dried habaneros peppers, all I needed now was my meal!
I decided to go with the quesa birra tacos, and the el pastor. It comes with red salsa, a few limes and FRESH white onion and cilantro, on the side. I added some green sauce to both dishes. And let me tell you,I was NOT DISSATISFIED IN ANY WAY.
The portions were 3 each. And generous on the meat. The flavour was outstanding. All the sauces including birra juice worked so well with anything you dipped into it.
A TRUE NOD TO THE MEXICAN WAYS OF OLD.
OUTSTANDING TACOS.

Read moreFound this little gem on google by accident. Stopped by today to scope it out. It’s a restaurant with a small, but very adequately stocked store. We were approached by the owner (Edson) to see if we had any questions because he carries products that may need translation. Edson was very warm and friendly, and willing to answer any questions we might have. I was looking for a few products that he didn’t carry, but he said he would speak with his supplier about bringing them in. We purchased a few items and were pleased with the cost of those items. We also decided to try buy something off the menu. We ordered the Quesa Birrias for take out. On the drive home, our vehicle was filled with the enticing smell coming from our take out package. We followed the serving suggestion Edson gave us and were amazed at the flavours of this dish. It was perfectly browned, seasoned and generously proportioned. It was absolutely delicious and made us feel a tiny bit sad that we didn’t order more. Will be going back there very soon. For those looking for authentic Mexican food that is delicious and affordable, Los Molcajetes also does Skip the Dishes. Try it for yourself, you will not be...
