Mary Brown's Chicken — Restaurant in City of Spruce Grove

We used to love this place as my husband is from Newfoundland. We loved that you could ask for dressing with poutine (not salad dressing, an herbed bread crumb mix) just like back home.

Last time I was in my husband ordered a Tater Poutine for me with dressing. The cashier asked, “So no cheese then?” Mmmm no a poutine has cheese. We want cheese and dressing. So I get it. It’s not curds. They never asked and I’ve only ever had it there with curds but it was just a shredded cheddar /mozza type mix. And the taters were so big some of them were the quarter of a potato!

Today I went in and ordered a Tater Poutine with dressing. I get home and it’s fries and gravy and dressing. When I called, they said you get one option: cheese, cheese curds, OR dressing. But that’s not a poutine!! Why wouldn’t I just order a fries and gravy with dressing then? It’s a $9 small container so what am I paying for if there’s no cheese?

Also my husband just informed me his K Crunch didn’t have the default sauce on it. They added extra mayo to hide it or something. So we’re both disappointed and don’t think the price of MBs is worth it anymore. Not when you don’t get when...

This is the second time that my friend have had a bad experience here. The first time, there was a Big mistake with skip the dishes......we got someone else's order and neither skip not Mary browns wanted to fix the situation. We even offered to come there and pick up the food.....Mary browns said we'd have to pay again. So in our frustration we ended up eating the food brought to us. It was cold and soggy.

So today my friend and I decided to try again. Today we went in, ordered and left. When we got home, my friends fries were pure grease, but incredibly limp and cold, not cooked. Inedible. My tators were ok, not as crispy as usual. We ordered only one bag of the doughnut bite things....ended up paying for 2 (only ordered onc) but never got the sauce for either. Our chicken also didn't have that cripsy crunch I've experienced at other locations. My friend never had kary b's before... And she won't ever again. I might, just...

Got a Big Mary. I came here because KFC has been extremely disappointing in food quality. Unfortunately it was the exact same thing here. Chewy and only a sliver of actual meat. I'm okay with fast food being sub par but cheap. This is just garbage and I'm extremely disappointed. I suppose I should be eating healthier anyways, but it's sad to see the respect for customers and our money going farther down the drain with every day. And we will continue to just watch quality drop and prices rise until... Well, it's rapidly ending for me at least. At least a 7 dollar loaf of bread is still the same quality as when it cost 2 dollars.

Also watching multiple "Skip The Dishes" orders being packed up and sent out before receiving my order is an epidemic that I hope destroys these businesses as quickly as their abhorrent food quality.

Customer service was great. Sad that they have to deal with...
