Would prefer to give 0 stars if I could. Stopped in here for breakfast this morning. The waitress started off really unfriendly, not even greeting us or saying good morning back after I said good morning to her. Ordered our food and what arrived was pathetic. My Grand Forks breakfast was cold and the pancakes were stacked on top of everything so you couldn't eat anything underneath. I started to eat my eggs, which were cold. My wife ordered the 2x5 and asked for hot sauce. Waitress forgot about us and never brough the hot sauce. Another server came to refill our coffee, so we asked for an extra plate to put my pancakes on, and re-requested hot sauce. She returns with a plate smaller than the pancakes (so I still cant eat them - if I put syrup on it would be all over the table) and no hot sauce. After I move my pancakes over to the puny plate I see that they also forgot the sausages I was supposed to get (I thought it was supposed to be Chorizo, but what was actually missing was the standard breakfast sausages), and that the breakfast potatoes were missing the sauteed onions and peppers they were supposed to have (There was one micro cube of green pepper and one micro cube of red pepper). At this point I wanted to send everything back, so when our waitress returned we told her we'd like to send out breakfasts back and simply have them removed as it was now cold, missing items and unenjoyable. I told her I would pay for the cold eggs I ate, and our sons waffle as that was fine. She then decided to argue with us and make excuse after excuse - which I found really unprofessional - so I asked for the manager. She tells us she is the manager. After grumbling some more she returns with the bill. She only removed my wife's meal (which we also sent back) and still charged me 50% for my meal where all I ate was the gross cold scrambled eggs. $10.50 for cold scrambled eggs. We begrudgingly paid the bill, and the waitress/manager then has the gall to ask us to come back again (probably realizing how unprofessional she handled things) - seriously!! We will NOT be back. Avoid this place at all costs if you are looking for a decent meal and service. Go down to the road SUNSET GRILL if you want a GOOD BREAKFAST and service!!! Note: This Ricky's is now known as Ricky's and Famoso, which is kind of strange, so the restaurant has a weird vibe inside of it now too....it used to be a decent place to come for breakfast with...
Read more4:00 I came in for service.. the waitress her name was Jamie.. somehow kept getting confused as to what we wanted . Did not listen when we said multiple times what we wanted . And tried to confirm the order wrong multiple times... we tried to correct her and she snapped 3 times walking away trying to fix the order on her tablet which was probably why she did not know how to take order.. she scoffed and raised her voice the last two times she walked away . Shook her head and rolled her eyes. We literally were trying to confirm our orders. And she kept inturpting us. There fore leading to her confusion. Then it lead to her needing a manager to fix the order on her tablet that she clearly did not know how to use because we said multiple times ... what we wanted. She came back after “fixing” order on tablet.. she went to read our order to us and first thing she said once again was not our Order .. so we tried correcting it and she just raised her voice and shook her head walking away. Not telling us what’s going on . We waited and waited my friends did not even finish their drinks . I had a water. She left second time and then went to service everyone around us except us.. here we are waiting to order . If she would have listened.. we were polite and just tried to correct her. She should NOT HAVE taken her bad day out on us. Just because we are young does NOT MEAN we need to experience poor service like that... I would expect her behaviour from a fast food employee.. not from a sit down restaurant.. there was miscommunication but it would have been easily avoided if she would have listened to our whole order . Instead of cutting us off . She was not listening. It must have been the tablet or something but her patience and customer service was short right off the bat.. very unprofessional. I will not be recommending anyone in the spruce grove area or stony plain area to eat at Ricky’s. I would have liked to speak to manager but she just disappeared. Very...
Read moreI have been meaning to write a review for months now but have just ran out of time to do so. I have been coming to Rickey's for basically my whole life but after my last visit a couple months ago NEVER AGAIN even my 8 year old said I never want to go there again! I went with my mom grandma and son. Me and my mom ordered a steak sandwich and they served it to us on a toasted piece of bread which was as thin as a cheese slice, and a small salad.... no mushrooms no veggies that is it. First of all steak sandwiches should ALWAYS be served on a french bread or a thicker piece of garlic toast...just a tip!! The steak was so horrible we couldn't even chew it!!! My son ordered a grilled cheese...first of all how do you screw that up!!! The cheese wasn't even melted!! Not only was the food DISGUSTING, our server was AWFUL!!!! I am not sure who's bright idea it was to have your servers taking orders on an IPAD but you should really re think that because she had to re read what we ordered 3 times to make sure she wrote it on her ipad accurately. Servers should use a tray, pad of paper and a pen. NOT IPAD! The girl had on long RAINBOW nails too lol...how unprofessional!! I used to be a server for over 10 years my manager would of laughed at me if I came to work wearing those!! You guys really need to up your game here!! More restaurants are going to be opening in Spruce Grove in the future!! I am not one to write a review but it...
