barBURRITO — Restaurant in Clarington

Just wanted to share my positive experience this evening at BarBurrito in Bowmanville. I had a glitch happen on their website while placing my order online. I went to confirm my payment and the screen froze, went blank and then took me back to my order page showing the items not purchased yet. So I checked my online banking and there was no charge made. Checked again 5 min later and still no charge so I went and put through my payment again. Went to go pick up my order an hour later and they had received my order twice and made the food twice. I did check my banking on my way there after leaving Walmart and saw the charge for food was done twice. 2 email confirmations were also received with 2 different order numbers. When I walked in the manager, Kisan, was waiting for me by the bags to discuss my order. He was very nice and listened to what happened on my end and offered to give me a store credit (not able to refund orders placed online as it goes to corporate) and gave me the extra food at no cost to me. Despite the technical glitch (which happens!) and being charged twice, the situation was rectified without hassle and I left a happy customer.

Moral of the story…technology isn’t perfect, things happen. And lesson learned, call restaurants if the online ordering has a glitch to see if they got your order before placing...

I don't often edit an existing review of mine but I have just about had enough of the Bowmanville BarBurrito location.

I really want to know what happened to this place?

I used to regularly order food from BarBurrito and it was consistently good but that has changed over the last year.

This location is so STINGY it's not funny at all.

The staff have clearly been instructed to use just a pinch of absolutely every single veggie. Did you learn that technique from Subway?

A little pinch of lettuce. Pinch of tomato. Three pickled jalapenos at best. So I have to constantly ask for more and it's irritating.

But what's more irritating is when I order through skip or Uber and every single note I leave is obviously ignored.

Why don't you care about customer service at BarBurrito Bowmanville?

I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone when talking about fast-food burritos again. BarBurrito has had my business for years but because of their ridiculously cheap and stingy practices I will no longer be dining with them.

I usually always come to Bar burrito since it came to town instead of mucho . I had a 45 minute break for work and it took only six minutes to get there which would leave 39 minutes to get my food and eat then get back ( PLENTY ) of time . There were about five customers in front of us and only the one blonde worker was working on the order alone while the other worker did a skip order (1). The one working on the skip order kept turning around and looking at the line and even rolled her eyes . The chips were not fully cooked and the lettuce was soggy and it took almost a complete 35 minutes to get our food . I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning here nor recommending this place again. This happened on October 17th. I understand skip orders come first but it took a very long time for one skip order in order for the employees to begin...
