Went there with my wife last night and the food was good...as always. We both had the buttermilk-fried chicken. While tasty, the mashed potatoes were barely warm.
We both ordered an alcoholic drink and asked for a glass of water. We had to ask for the water 2 times before it came.
I don't really care much about that, but my biggest complaint is how the wait-staff (Than in my case) tries to basically bribe you with a free appetizer coupon for a good review on Google.
It makes me question whether or not any of the "5 star" reviews are genuine or if people just want a free appetizer coupon.
I told Than that we weren't going to take the coupon as we maybe go there about once a year (which is true).
I would feel somewhat guilty if I took the coupon and left a less-than stellar review.
I saw other wait-staff give a coupon to other tables so I can only assume that they were "bribed" to leave a good review as well.
That is one of the problems with society today; people and companies are too concerned views, likes and good reviews in order to make themselves look good.
If your service and food are excellent, then there wouldn't be a need to "bribe" customers for a good review.
Montana's, and any other establishment that engages in this practice, should be ashamed...
Read moreWe were celebrating my son's birthday. I ordered a steak cooked medium. The first one came out and was gray inside, it looked like it had gone bad or rancid. I sent it back and the second one was the same gray but had a bit of pink. I tasted it and it had a fishy taste. I sent it back again. By then I lost my appetite. There did not appear to be any manager or supervisor who was overseeing quality of customer satisfaction. The sides that arrive were embarrassing small. The beans were in a small plastic takeout container and the baked potato was the smallest I had ever seen (they both looked and a miniature playset). When I went to pay the bill for the table I was told they do not take Amex anymore because they are "trying to save money". While we were eating there were flies around our table (it was like eating outside, but not in a good way). Montanas was one of my family's favorite places because they serviced good quality and portions. I remember having to line up and wait. Now the place was empty. Unfortunately lack of management attention in quality and customer services will be the end to this store. I noticed that it has had a lot of low star google reviews in the last few months. Very sad. We loved Montanas and it was my 32 y/o sons pick...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Montana's, and I must say, our server (Kevin) truly made the experience exceptional. From the moment we sat down, he was incredibly attentive to our orders, ensuring that every detail was perfect. What really stood out was his generosity in offering us a gravy sauce on the house, which was a delightful surprise.
He had the perfect balance of being present without hovering, timing his visits to our table just right. His participation in our jokes added a wonderful touch of humor and warmth to the evening, making us feel right at home. When we discovered they had run out of smoked meat, he promptly offered to exchange it for more wings, showing great initiative and ensuring we were satisfied. Throughout the evening, he was unfailingly polite and exuded a positive attitude that was truly infectious.
This server exemplified what it means to be a real waiter, combining professionalism with a personal touch that left us all impressed. Montana's is lucky to have such a dedicated and personable individual on their team. We will definitely be returning, thanks to his...
