Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Clarington

This used to be my favourite DQ location, until one employee unfortunately ruined it for me. I simply asked for a blizzard with just 3 toppings: Chocolate chunks, cheesecake pieces, and pecans. The worker charged me for a brownie blizzard plus an additional charge for cheesecake pieces, plus another for one of the other toppings - which means I would be paying for the brownie blizzard plus roughly $3.00 for a blizzard with literally 3 toppings. Normally, I would be charged a blizzard with the equivalent pricing of the toppings I asked for, making it fair. But this cashier was adamant that because it was not on the DQ menu, I had to pay extra. There was no empathy or a sense of mutual understanding regarding my concern. I’ve had the best experience with workers when ordering this particular blizzard prior to that instance, because they could understand that people have particular wants - and shouldn’t have to suffer with unnecessary additional charges because of it, let alone the additional charges almost making up the price of a mini blizzard. It was Father’s Day s celebration so we decided to head out to Dairy Queen Grill & Chill Bowmanville for Blizzard Treat ice creams. This is our first visit to this location. It is an exceptional destination for family hang out location. Their customer service is truly remarkable, ensuring a delightful experience for every visitor.

The restaurant is very clean creating a pleasant environment for customers to enjoy their treats. The overall atmosphere is great, making it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy your ice cream. Furthermore, ample parking space is available, adding convenience to your visit. The presence of excellent outdoor seating further enhances the experience, allowing us to enjoy our ice cream in the open air.

Among flavors offered, our personal favorites are the irresistible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Blizzard Treat and the classic Banana Split.

I called a week ago to see if the store prints on edible paper. The employee told me they did, let me know the cost and how long it would take. I called today to place the order and the girl on the phone said they dont do it. I explained that a different staff member told me different and she said its not something they will do. I also explained this was for a 2 year olds birthday tomorrow and it didnt seem to matter. She said I could buy a whole cake and they would not attach the edible picture. No thanks. Considering this was their mistake they could have easily done the job in 5 min with a sorry but instead they offered to sell me a whole cake that I dont need in order to get the picture.
