Skylight Donuts Drive Thru — Restaurant in Clarington

My mom and I visited this location yesterday around 5:30 p.m. to grab some donuts, just an half an hour before closing. The girl informed us that they had limited selections left and was quite rude when I inquired about what was available. She had already taken down the trays, making it difficult for me to see them. I didn’t take her rudeness personally, as it might have been a long day for her.

My mom had also purchased an ice coffee with no sugar, as she can’t have it. However, when I my mom tried it , she had added both cream and sugar, along with a hint of some sort of syrup. I was disgusted because I had had a conversation with her about this, and it was ridiculous that she would do it even though we had simple instructions

The total came up to around $11.30, and I gave her $15. When I asked for my change, she closed the door on us and refused to give it back or speak to us. I left the plaza and decided to call the business. She eventually picked up the phone.

We explained that she had taken our change, refused to open the window, and added cream and sugar to our coffee despite our specific request. We also mentioned that the donuts were smaller than normal. She started acting like she couldn’t hear us on the phone and asked us to call her back.

I called six times, but she refused to answer. My mom decided to call , and the girl began to say that she was being harassed. Keep in mind that she was the one who told us to call her back because she couldn’t hear us. Then, she started lying and becoming aggressive, talking back to my mom.

At that point, I took the phone and told her that she had no right to talk to others the way she was. She began saying how’s she’s being harassed but she was yelling towards us as we were simply saying how she messed our order up.

After this incident, I asked her for her name, but she denied it , which is find and I believe her manager can identify her. She did tell us to call the manager today to complain about her attitude and how we wouldn’t stop harassing her.( which we weren’t)

I wasn’t able to get into contact with the manager, but I hope we can resolve this issue. I’m very dissatisfied with the customer service here and the quality...

I was the only one there, waited about a minute before some one peeked around the corner of that hall 6ft from the window and asked “Hello?” Kind of like they were wondering why I’m at the window...the lady seemed a bit grumpy, like I interrupted something she was doing. Coffee was better than most, bagel was average, cake donuts same as Tim’s, skylight has less sugar maybe. Service could be better, as in being happy you have a customer at the window instead of mildly irritated(who knows, maybe the last customer was a dink and I was experiencing fall out grumpy).The place is in the same lot of a petro Canada, and all the people in the gas stop had Tim’s cups instead of skylight cups, maybe that says somthing.

went to the location down the street initially to get a bagel. they were undergoing renovations so they didn’t have bagels at the time. totally understandable, the lady working there was lovely and was even kind enough to offer to call this location to start the bagel so that it would be ready by the time i got there. i declined, but the offer was much appreciated. so i drove to this location for a bagel. simple enough, you’d think. but when i got here (probably 3 minutes later) and asked for a toasted bagel, the woman just scowled at me and refused to make the bagel because she was about to clean the toaster (or had just finished cleaning it? i’m unsure exactly). she was incredibly unpleasant and a stark contrast to the other location. whoever the girl working yesterday is, she is terrible. would not return to...
