I have been visiting this specific Tim Hortons in my home town basically since it has been there, the service is usually pretty good. The odd times you get a server when you go in that is quite young and clearly has an attitude problem but the older ladies there are always sweet.
However, today was possibly the worst experience I have had since I started going there. On my way to work this morning I decided I needed a pick me up and some breakfast, knowing how crazy the drive thru gets I decided to go inside, since I didn't have 15 minutes to wait in my car to go through the drive thru.
After going inside, there was about 14 people in front of me in line, which wasn't terrible I thought. After waiting 10 minutes just in the line to order my food, I spoke to one of the older ladies at the till, she took my order very pleasantly like always and I paid the $7 for what I thought was my Farmers Breakfast Wrap with NO sauce and my iced coffee. After placing my order, I was then instructed to wait in the middle for my food.
After almost 10 minutes of me standing there waiting for my order "Emily" (the meal prep lady) finally addressed me and asked what I was waiting on, to which I said "A farmers breakfast wrap with no sauce." she said she had no such order and went to speak to the lady I ordered from. After another few minutes I finally had my wrap in hand and was on my way to work, now running behind schedule. On my way to work I opened my wrap to eat it FINALLY! Only to be disappointed once again that my wrap was absolutely smothered in the spicy mayo sauce which I had asked twice NOT to have on my wrap.
I rated it two stars only because the managers are usually very willing to rectify any mistakes and offer you free food and because the older ladies there are always sweet to everyone.
Recommendations for improvement: Hire on more staff to cover the peak hours. Having 8 girls on the drive thru (at least 2 on prep) and only 4 in the front with one girl on prep is not working! If you had more staff orders wouldn't be so rushed and they would be correct, then your customers...
Read moreClosing afternoon Oct 18 2022 for maintance .Usually, I go through the drive-thru . Good coffee and more choices than 'Tims' at Walmart location uptown. There is more room inside than appears from the outside. To access the drive-thru enter off Baseline road either from east or west. The drive-thru can be congested at times . Cars entering from the east and west could make entering a little smoother by alternating your turn in , with cars approaching from the opposite direction. Keep to the right, and be aware some cars come from the opposite direction. Wendy's drive-thru is on the left. If Wendy's drive-thru is occupied and Tim's is too , exercise caution as some cars might be trying to exit and approach you. This can be at times congested. There are three marked arrows at the baseline entrance, one for entering, one for exiting to the left, and one for exiting to the right. Even though I live on the west side of town, I will avoid taking the left west exit and take the right to go north on hwy 57 , if the area is crowded with cars. Most people in cars are courteous to other drivers. To avoid any road rage ,if the area is crowded I take the way to 57. Try to avoid very busy times at the drive-thru and patronize earlier or later. In order to make things a little smoother, if you plan on not using the drive-thru and are going to eat inside, if coming from the north use the east entrance and you will avoid the drive-thru crowd. If coming from the south ( 401 area) be aware you will only be able to enter by using the baseline entrance. And if you do keep to the right (west)as this will help you to avoid the two exit marked lanes. In the parking lot one side (north) is designated for smaller cars. Inside they have adequate staff and will serve you well . One cashier is for coffee. The staff are well organized and will direct you well where to go . To recap if you are going to park and eat in ,the best entrance to use is the one off 57 . On exiting to the 401 take this exit too. This exit does not have a way in to town as there...
Read moreI am beyond disgusted with this location. I bought $9.21 worth of food and forgot to ask for a cup of water for my dog who had just had a huge hike and was patiently waiting in the car for a cup of cold water. I went back in and was informed that a cup of water for my dog would be 20 cents and that it was not in fact free. I went back out to the car told my partner who I was with and they said to return all the food we had just bought. I brought the food back in asking for a refund and was given a hard time still and had to ask for a manager. Manager still refused to give me a cup of water for my dog free despite seeing in front of her that I had bought quite a lot of food. They handed me my money back and I told them I would not be going to Tim Hortons again and I will be supporting their competition McDonald's and I would be getting the free cup of water with ice from McDonald's for my dog. I did go to McDonald's and they happily gave me a large cup of ice water for my dog. While I was in Tim Hortons another couple of customers overheard that they would not give me a free cup of water for my dog and also refused to deal with them in support of what I was going through. I have never been more appalled at a franchise as I am with Tim Hortons. I have gone here for years and now due to this I will never step foot in any Tim Hortons again and will be going directly to head office about this. I was advised by the manager it is company policy to charge for a cup of water for your dog.
If you love your dog I highly suggest you don't go to Tim Hortons again as they will not supply your beloved pet with a basic necessity of life which is water. However just down the road McDonalds is more then happy to give your furry four legged friend...
