Worst customer service EVER! I arrived at the store at 8:55 pm on Wed,July 31st/21 and ordered the family deal and popcorn shrimp...close to 70 dollars worth of food! Was busy and order was placed at 9:05 pm with 3 people ahead of me ..a lrg fry and 2 chicken sandwiches....no Uber or Skip came the entire time I was there! Patiently waited while 5 people with single orders (who arrived after me) were served first...now 9:35 pm. After the 7th person was served that came after me I asked if my order was forgotten? Girl snottily replied.." It takes 17 mins to cook your chicken!" Wow! "I replied that my order was placed at 9:05 and was my chicken being plucked too in the back?" I watched as she placed my items to be bagged at 9:45 and said "You're missing my popcorn shrimp!" She gave a rude big humph and threw it in the fryer like I had inconvenienced her! It was cooked for 5 mins and grease and all was thrown in container. DISGUSTING! I finally got my order and was able to leave the store at 9:57 pm after originally being told my order would take 20 mins! This is the second time this has happened to me at this store with this same girl being rude and my order being unappreciated!! I actually think she is racist! When I arrived home she had packed the gravy ON IT'S SIDE and half was spilled all over the food!!! The fries were soggy because she had left my food sitting on the counter getting cold while she violently smashed out my order of popcorn shrimp!! The 5th customer that arrived after me and received his order first told me he goes to Townline store normally because of the horrible customer service at this Bowmanville location! I will not be giving any more of my hard earned money to this particular Popeye's! You would think that these restaurant's would APPRECIATE my patronage during these times! My husband, mother in law and my two kids age - 2.5 years and 10 month also my sister in law and her husband went to the Popeyes Bowmanville location around 4pm after having a great time at Jungle cat world in Orono. We get there we ordered 12pc chicken family meal with fries and gravy as our sides , biscuits were included and we got three drinks as well. so we wait about 15-20 minutes our food arrives we start eating and my mom mentions the oil must of not been changed because the taste is off on the chicken piece she is having.. so some of the pieces are completely fine when the other half are not .. then my husband gets a large leg piece which is extremely sour and foul smelling we take that piece with few other pieces untouched to the front desk and speak to the manager who is "Reeda" so we can bring it to her concern... She seemed very guilty off the bat, she was the one who was dropping our chicken in the deep fryer my husband remembered seeing her doing so after our order. My husband and me have pain in our stomachs yet we could not contact the health department today (holiday closed) but we will be doing so tomorrow. I really hope this manager Reeda knew what she was doing she clearly saw we had small little kids under the age of 3 with us, they purposely served us old rotten meat, seems like they are not throwing out chicken that has gone bad, they rather serve it unexpecting customers with little kids... THIS POPEYE'S IN GENERAL ABSOLUTELY SUCKS. One time, this popeye's served us pieces of chicken but most of them were served to us undercooked with blood still present. But that's not the only reason why I am writing this. After we complained to this popeye's using one of our cell phone numbers, it appears the cell phone number that we used to call them is blacklisted on their landline. We came to this conclusion because we decided to order few pieces of chicken recently with the cell phone number in question but after 5 times of calling no one came to pick up. But immediately after, we called them using another phone and someone picked up. If I wished, I would put 0 stars because of the repulsive service and the poor cooking. We considered showing them their mistake before writing a bad review since we also run a restaurant and we know how it's like to be on the receiving end of bad reviews. So we took the undercooked chicken straight to the place and showed them in person. The owner then told us that they checked the cameras and explained in a condescending tone how the chicken was cooked in the right amount of time. But that does not explain the blood that was found in the chicken. Clearly, these people do not take criticism lightly and ABSOLUTELY suck at business.
