Tim Hortons — Restaurant in Clarington

Ive been frequenting this tim hortons on a daily basis multiple times for the past year or so. The staff at this location in Newcastle are in dire need of more training/supervision.

There’s a lady I see everyday in the morning, she never smiles nor greets or responds to a thank you.

In the past, I’ve specifically asked for an english muffin with only egg & cheese (no bacon) but I was still handed the english muffin with the bacon. The muffin was also toasted to the point that it was barely edible.

Today, I went there during my lunch hour and asked for chilli and couple of other food items. I was charged the wrong amount then asked to repeat my order which I did & then I was handed the wrong order without the chilli but instead a bag full of donuts. Once I got home, I realized that my lunch was missing.

Not to mention, there’s been several times where a bottle of coke was given to me with sticky liquid all over the bottle. Each time, I’d grab the bottle & automatically have my hands get sticky…

These are not small mistakes, it’s clear that the staff aren’t taking these roles seriously and are betting on you not returning to get the correct order because the lines are extremely long and slow as is.

Needless to say, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. With coffee machines being available in most homes today and people becoming health/money conscious- Id highly advise the person running this location to take a close look at how things are being done. It may be the only Tim Hortons in town but the food provided isn’t a necessity and more so a treat for people that make the purchases. Went there the 19th around 7:46 pm and there was 5-6 teens talking with one of there friends working she ask them 4 times to move they move then we ordered 2 extra large teas one steeped tea 2 milk 1 sugar the other one was a chai tea and there was only one tea bag when there's supposed to be two and my tea was not and XL it was a large tried to get her attention to tell her that she made a little mistake.but girl working that was serving us was more preoccupied with her gang of friends that were loud and obnoxious then actually doing her job. We also overheard a male employee wearing all-black believe his name was Sean confess to 3 other workers on up charging drive-through people for certain things he didn't disclose on exactly what he was up charging people on and said he did not care and he will still be doing it no one there was wearing name tags. Never in my life have been given service this terrible. First of all there was trash all over the floor. The trash can was also full to the brim. We were there for an hour and no one addressed either the floor or the garbage cans. It was even worse when we left. It's just a hangout for the teenaged friends of the teenagers who work there. The profanity being used makes it not a fit place to take young children. The food was supposed to be "Artisan" grilled cheese sandwiches with added bacon. The cheese slices were cold inside. Definitely NOT melted. The bacon was half cooked and rubbery and there was supposed to be cheese grilled onto the outside of the bread. I saw them sprinkle a tiny bit onto each sandwich it disappeared as you can see by the picture. All in all the worst Tim Hortons experience we've ever had but understandable considering that the Tim Hortons in Newcastle ON is probably the worst of all of them. Seriously though a health inspector would have had something to say about all the trash as well as the sandwiches being undercooked. And not a single adult was working that we could see.
