HORRID!!!! The last two times we have ordered here the food has been horrible. We ordered the "dinner for four" which included 4 egg rolls, sweet and sour chicken balls, beef chow mein, crispy beef, honey sesame chicken and fried rice with NO SUBSTITUTIONS allowed. First time we received the chow mein we thought "ok they were busy and made a mistake" by giving us chop suey instead. The second time I went back to the restaurant to correct the order. I was immediately YELLED at by the woman when I said "I have an issue you gave us chop suey instead of chow mein. Chow mein is noodles". I was promptly yelled at "NO THAT IS CHOW MEIN LOOK". I googled to show her that chow mein is noodles and then her husband came of of the back yelling as well! Not to mention he was cooking and then talking to me WITHOUT WEARING A MASK! They proceeded to yell at me when I was talking so I started to raise my voice as well, I will not be spoken to like that when I started out in a civil manner. I was also told that "chow mein is different at every restaurant"... which didn't make sense to me. I ended up leaving as they were yelling at me telling me I was wrong. Not to mention the food here is bland and not like other places I have been. Save your money and try somewhere else!
Sounds horrid, but I did not write this review and it is posted...
Read moreI got the #1. Egg Roll, Chicken Balls, Fried rice. $6.50+tax.
Egg roll was practically empty and had no flavour and the wrap for it was tough, felt like a dog trying to rip a piece of rawhide.
Chicken balls were 90% dough. Even the sauce was flavorless. How is that possible?
Rice was overcooked and once again flavorless. Had pieces of cabbage/skin/I don't even know. Not enjoyable at all.
The meal was only $6.50+tax and I still feel it wasn't worth the cost. I might actually feel worse now having eaten it and I am dreading what it will do to my digestion.
On top of that, I had a water container I have for my dog in the car and asked the lady working the front if she could fill it up with tap water. She didn't even answer me, just scowled and shooed me off with a wave of her hand as she walked in the back. I guess she already had my money so her job was done. Unbelievably rude. I got the guys at the pizza place next door to fill it. They had no problem with it whatsoever, they're great. If I had known ahead of time I would have ordered from them.
If you're travelling through to Collingwood just hold out until you get there and get your Chinese food at 89 Super Panda on Hurontario, it will be worth it, much better food and service. If you choose to eat here anyway, don't say I...
Read moreWe decided to try for the first time, figuring the negative reviews seemed like a lot of just back and forth between area competition owners trying to down rate each other.
Sadly though, we won't be back. We got a dinner for 6. No substitutions, nothing else. Just the dinner.
Absolutly none of it had flavour.. it doesn't even taste like salt was added to any dish. All dishes came with very very tiny amounts of sauce - even the general tao was dry and normally that's loaded in sauce. But it also had zero taste.. not even a speck of spice (which is why we like that dish).
I can't really find one good thing other than the sweet and sour sauce that comes with chicken balls was actually okay taste wise.. but the food really lacked flavour, and most had the taste of leftovers not fresh Chinese.
Hopefully the owners can take some good pointers from the reviews and find out where to...
