One of the worst experiences I have ever had. Went to DQ at around 7:00pm (so it wasn't during a rush) to get some food and ice cream. When we were placing our order, we had to repeat it several times before she would ask what else we wanted, when we reached the window they handed me 2 blizzards instead of one, i advised i had only ordered one blizzard but they said they had charged for two, so they refunded it. Then i asked if they got the blue raspberry freeze we asked for and he said no, not sure if maybe the girl working the drive thru was new but she even went as far to lie to her coworker saying that we never told her we wanted a Md Blue Raspberry Freeze drink. i repeated the size and flavour we wanted (a fourth time) and after he made it he handed me a small.. at this point i was getting fed up and was a bit rude by saying "i said a medium, not a small.", when we finally got all our items (only 4) it had been about 10-12 minutes that we sat parked with our vehicle off in the drive thru. When I got home (6 min drive) my blizzard was like liquid (mixed for too long maybe) there was 1 maybe 2 pieces of brownie in it and no Caramel, i couldn't even eat my fries they were so salty (i feel like they oversalted it on purpose) they were saltier than McD's fries.
While we were waiting you could see inside the place and it was absolutely disgusting, you would think during COVID they would be regularly cleaning but the place looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks it was disgusting, garbage overflowing and staff not wearing gloves when handling our items.
Most of the issues could have been avoided if they read back your order to confirm all amounts/sizes were correct (as most DQ's do). Blizzard was also not served upside down (usually results in a free one next time if you call them out on it as it is a company guarentee)
Edit: 03/07/2023 Staffing seems to be a bit better now, fries need to be cooked longer and not salted as much but timing...
Read moreI feel it’s necessary to share my experience—specifically regarding the drive-through during the day shift.
Each time I come through, I’m met with the same staff member who, frankly, makes the entire interaction frustrating and uncomfortable. Any time I ask for something slightly different or try to clarify my order, I’m immediately met with resistance, condescension, and the strong feeling that I’m somehow being a problem just for ordering. She often blames the process or the way the order has to be entered into the system, but the way it’s communicated makes it feel like I’m the one doing something wrong simply for asking.
What’s even more frustrating is that other Dairy Queen locations have no issue with the exact same customizations or requests, yet here it’s treated like I’m asking the impossible. It’s not just a one-time thing either—it’s consistent, and it genuinely makes me dread coming here, which is disappointing because I love DQ.
I really hope management takes a look at how customer interactions are being handled during the day shift, because the way things are now, it feels more like an argument than a...
Read moreCan't really speak to the atmosphere here, as I went through the drive-through. I can understand Google's error, however, as the three cars ahead of me took forever to order. My order was fairly simple, three burger meal deals for my kids. When asked about toppings, I said "just ketchup" and got three burgers with mustard, ketchup and pickles. My middle child is a glutton and polished off their meal faster than I could say "Don't make a mess", my oldest picked at it a bit and declared themself full halfway through the burger because they didn't like the mustard, and my youngest is a baby who doesn't understand why they can't just pick off the cheese and eat only that. The fries were good, and the juice wasn't touched; I put those in the fridge once we arrived back home. The sundaes were an instant hit with all three. Personally, I've only eaten Dairy Queen food once in my life and that was well over a decade ago and not worth it in the least. As long as my kids don't vomit it back up, I'll give them a...
