Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Cobourg

We asked for one order of breadsticks and some dipping sauces to be delivered tonight. I know it's not a big order, but sometimes that's what we are craving and we have a young daughter and a baby so it's not always easy to go out. We ordered at 7:40ish and were told it would take 40 minutes, which I thought was too long but my husband already said ok so we decided to wait it out. Double that time went by and no breadsticks, and by then it was time for our daughter to go to bed, so my husband called to cancel the order. The guy said they were really backed up and nobody had even come to pick up the breadsticks to deliver to us yet. Unfortunately they didn't communicate that or maybe we would have made the effort to go and pick it up if it was just sitting there....but like I said, we canceled. Then a full two hours late, someone comes and rings our doorbell, disturbing our sleeping girls, looking to drop off our breadsticks. When my husband declined to pay for them since they were already canceled and two hours late...the guy drove off. At that point, you might want to just give the order to your customer for...

Worst customer service ever! Melissa was extremely rude and seemed ennoyed to have to do her job. I called and ordered the Johns special. After hanging up the phone i immediately realized i forgot to say pan so i called right back. Melissa then stated "i guess I'll remake it then". Not sure how far she could've possibly gotten into making the pizza but I apologized for any inconvenience. Pizza arrived and was not a pan pizza and was burnt. So i called, she told me it was the pan pizza. I've ordered pan pizzas before and this was not a pan pizza, it was too large. (I had recently ordered a pan pizza and still had the box...this pizza wouldn't fit it the pan pizza box)When i mentioned that she told me it was what i ordered and was def a pan pizza then hung up the phone on me. I caked back to ask to speak with the manager, she said she was the manager. I asked who owned that location, her response was if i have a problem contact papa johns online and hung up on me a second time. Will not be giving this location...

Listen. This was no ordinary call. I work in a social service organization near London Ontario and one of our clients was alone in Cobourg. We were able to get her to go to the Papa Johns and my boy Ben was a friggen superstar. Seriously. This guy was so calm on the phone. Helped me place an order so we could get our client some food. He took my call four separate times and never once seemed annoyed. Ben didn't realize that we had spent about 3 hours trying to figure all of this out for this client. Ben assured me that she could come in, use their WIFI, charge her phone, eat some food, and be safe until we could get her home. Ben, you have NO idea how much your kindness and patience were appreciated. You said "I'm just doing my job" but honestly, you went above and beyond, and a $10 tip doesn't seem like near enough!
