I chose to eat here for my birthday because of the reviews of the Mac and cheese. Currently there is no Mac on the menu. Looks like it changes very regularly. I had the chorizo and potato tacos- absolutely incredible, I wish I could’ve eaten it twice! They give you the ingredients in a bowl and you make them as you like. Big portions too, 6 tacos! My bf had “the burger right now” as it changes every week. He loved it as well! It is a la carte for sides, burger comes by itself unless you want to add fries. It is a very small place, I recommend you make a reservation. There is AC but it doesn’t feel like there is (especially during a heat wave). If I’m ever in town visiting I will definitely come here again when the weather is cooler.

The service was quick, food was so delicious. We ordered a few shareables - the charcuterie board is a must share. The cheeses and the meats are a hit. The ceviche was good. The carpacio melts in your mouth mixed with the toppings is something I'd order again The mains we ordered were the burgers and wild mushroom pasta which was cooked perfectly and was Al dente and tasteful pesto mix. The creme brulee was creamy and mixes well with the sugary crunch on top. Must go place if you're visiting Cobourg or finding a dinner place. Location is within walking distance to our stay. It's a nice small place. Inside doesn't have a lot of seating but their patio was spacious and was a nice night out.

I moved to Cobourg a week ago and my sister and I went to George & Orange for dinner on Saturday night. It’s just a short stroll from my home and I was looking forward to making it my local. The food and drinks were absolutely wonderful. As a (former) Toronto food snob, I was so impressed. Sadly, they will be closing at the end of September and I’m crushed about it. Please someone - buy and save this local gem! I’ll do your social promotion for free! We got an extra order of chorizo and potato tacos (the pic) for lunch the next day. They were so good - as were the shrimp and flatbread. And that whiskey cocktail with fresh basil - love love love. Save George & Orange! Please!

We will return! So this is a tiny spot with a small parking lot and a mini bathroom. Ok, now on to the service and food!

Our server was a joy. We didn't feel rushed at all (even though we took too long to order while chatting, and stayed for a very long lunch).

I had the Apple & Gorgonzola flatbread, the Wild Mushroom Tagliatelle and an Americano. Everything was exceptional. I am very much over restaurants over charging for mediocre food so I was thrilled with George & Orange. Such interesting textures and flavours. Everything cooked to perfection. I have been craving that pasta dish since! Even my coffee was better than any chain and most independent cafe's I've been too. Rich, creamy, amazing.

I can't wait to return and I highly recommend you check this place out if you want great service and fantastic food in a casual, comfy...

Such a hidden gem! We are from out of town and so we planned a beach day in Cobourg on my birthday. After the beach we were ready for a meal and a couple cold drinks so we did a quick google search and George & Orange popped up. As this restaurant was highly rated we decided to give it a shot and am I ever glad we did! The atmosphere was great. The service was excellent. The drinks were incredible and the food was absolutely perfectly executed. Everything was prepared brilliantly and absolutely everything we had was just so good. The drinks were cold and fresh. The guacamole and pico appetizer was delicious, the main courses were amazing and even the crème brûlée was perfectly prepared with the sweet hard shell over the creamy custard. Thank you for a fantastic dining experience! I highly recommend. You won’t find anything...
