A Slice of Coolness at Colwood Pizza Co!!!!
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Colwood Pizza Co, the new hip pizza shop that has taken the slightly rural part of town by storm. This hidden gem offers gourmet pizzas that are not only delicious but also come in a unique rectangle shape, the size of one and a half large pizzas.
Upon entering the shop, I was immediately drawn to the vibrant and trendy atmosphere. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. I placed my order and was pleasantly surprised to find out that I could enjoy a cold beer at the Rose Pub next door while waiting for my pizza to be made. This added bonus elevated the entire dining experience and made the wait enjoyable.
When my pizza arrived, I was blown away by its presentation and size. The flavors were incredible, and the quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite. The crust was perfectly crisp, and the toppings were generous, creating a harmonious blend of flavors that left me wanting more.
Overall, my experience at Colwood Pizza Co was nothing short of amazing. From the gourmet pizzas to the relaxed atmosphere, this place has quickly become one of my favorite spots to grab a bite. If you're looking for a unique dining experience with delicious food and great beer, look no further than Colwood Pizza Co. I highly recommend giving it a try - you won't be...
Read moreI received a Colwood Pizza gift card for Christmas. I live in Sooke, but I like to get a takeout pizza occasionally...our local pizza joints are...avoidable. I had read the glowing reviews for Colwood, and I stopped there on May 3rd. I ordered a smaller #98, Pepperoni, with an addition of mushrooms. The pizza was ready on time, and away I went. When I arrived home and prepared to enjoy my pizza dinner, I made two unfortunate discoveries...the mushrooms added were spoiled, so I removed them, and the Romano cheese sprinkle was entirely nasty. Romano is a pungent cheese, quite stinky, and sharp in flavour. It completely overwhelmed the rest of the pizza. It was a one bite and then done and binned experience for my dinner. Usually a food establishment takes care when menu-planning, making sure that the ingredients for a dish are in harmony. I cannot understand why a new establishment would blot their copy book so badly by using a spoiled ingredient AND an unpleasant ingredient...did they think I...
Read moreI was really excited to finally try this place, but was pretty disappointed by the pizza. I ordered the Pepperoni Pizza with Ricotta added on DoorDash.
The dough was only half cooked - the top half was uncooked. The pepperoni cups weren't charred at all like they usually are at most pizza places, which really took away from how good they can taste. The dough didn't seem to have much flavour either. The Ricotta Cheese was also only on about half of the slices.
I've had Sicilian-style pizza before in Vancouver and it was unbelievably good, so I was really hoping for something more.
It's still decent pizza and better than some super cheap places which is why I still gave it 3 stars, but I probably won't order from here again. Really too bad because I was super excited to have a new unique style of pizza in the Greater...
