Update a few years later...
Why do they only reply to good reviews? This place needs a good ole fashion "reset".
This location has turned from ok, to junk. I've.been going to DQ for over 45 years and it is no longer cool... You order a peanut buster parfait and every location now scams you by putting the fudge on the outside of the ice cream so you can see it, but it is supposed to be layered. The cup has gotten thinner, when you ask for a double dip cone, they dip it the second time quickly before the first dip dries so it's really only a single dip but they charge you for a double. Yet, they ask for a tip??? For what? For ripping you off and squirting ice cream from a machine? Not cool... I'm done with em. Seems like a rant, but we need to stop going to these places.
Another location, I witnessed a guy coming from the bathroom and never washed his hands after returning to making meals.
Old review: Really packed and busy location, I have found that this location does not offer the deals that others do for some reason. Weird?
Found to be taking advantage of international loopholes by only hiring temporary workers allowing them to pay less wages out of their own pockets. The government pays a percentage of their wages through incentive programs but companies like DQ now only hire international temporary workers leaving locals without work. Minimum wage jobs are stepping stones for locals not a place for people to work for the rest of their lives earning minimum wage while tax payers pay...
Read moreIt would take a 12-person crew of industrial cleaners just to get this place back up to filthy. My last visit, the men’s bathroom floor was flooded, the women’s stall door was hanging half off, swaying on a single partially broken hinge. There wasn’t a single empty table, not because there was any people there-there wasn’t—but each table and bench seat were covered in toppled pop cups, crumpled burger wrappers, sticky caramel smears, melted ice cream and a whole assortment of unidentifiable stains. The clerk who served us looked like she’d just put herself in the blizzard machine--there was more ice cream and Oreo chunks splattered across her apron then in a full tray of 21-ounce cups. Behind the counter, the floor looked like the final scene from Scarface. Seriously, you couldn’t topple over every cupboard in the joint and get that much food on the floor. Obviously my first thought was what on earth was the staff doing, but then I saw the burger guy in the back. He looked terrified, he kept glancing around at everything, making a face like he’d just fallen into an outhouse. Maybe once it gets to a certain level of mess there’s no recovery. Anyway, I’d like to think you can’t mess up a pre-made Dilly bar, but maybe they just need to build a drive-thru so you don’t have to go in and see what the frozen treat has to risk passing through to get in your hands. Oh, and I threw my shoes in the garbage when I...
Read moreUpdate: Go to the Millstream location, much better than this one. Order was cold. (Cheeseburger and poutine). When I asked for a new poutine with hot gravy, they stuck it in the microwave. Seriously? Soggy poutine is what they think is okay? Very disappointed. Staff are lovely and friendly, but SO slow! 🙂 We have ordered there several times, as it was the closest to us, but I think we will drive to one further in an attempt to have better quality. Apparently newer owners, and was advised that they've got rid of gel decorating on cakes, even though staff said they still know how to do it, and enjoy doing it, and now only offer digital edible pictures, for a $7.99 additional charge!! NOT impressed! I also made the mistake of prepaying for a birthday cake, and they changed the wording I requested on the cake.
Second time we ordered lunch, and though it was fresh, it took a really, really long time! (Like beyond reasonable). The burger was kind of slimy on the edges. 😳
Tonight, ordered Blizzards, and they were so runny! No flip test passing there! (Apparently a known problem staff advise. Management apparently need to get...
