Extremely disappointed with this restaurant's operations within the Uber Eats platform. As a courier driver, I encountered an absolutely unacceptable practice: "Jungle Jim's" restaurant accepts online orders via Uber Eats but is, in fact, not prepared to fulfill them. On June 26, 2025, I drove over 15 kilometers (30 minutes of travel time) in heavy rain to this restaurant to pick up an order. Upon arrival, I was informed that they could not find the order in their system and, essentially, refused to provide it. The order was cancelled by the restaurant, and I, as the driver, received no compensation whatsoever for my wasted time, fuel, and effort. This is a dishonest practice that causes direct financial harm to courier drivers! The restaurant does not bother to inform Uber Eats, the driver, or the customer that they are either not ready to accept online orders or that they are experiencing system issues. This leads to pointless resource waste for drivers and frustration for customers. Warning for Uber Eats customers: If you place an order with "Jungle Jim's" through the app, be prepared that your order may be cancelled without warning, and the driver who drove to pick it up will be left uncompensated for their work. Went in a couple weeks back for supper. I ordered the great Canadian burger. For the second visit in a row, the burger was made with a slice of mozzarella cheese, instead of the grilled cheese curd patty it's supposed to come with. After bringing this to our servers attention, their response was to bring me a bowl of microwaved cheese curds and tell me that "that's all they can do". There was literally no reason the burger couldn't have been made correctly, as they obviously had the correct ingredients, and yet I was left with a melted bowl of cheese.
