I have been a loyal Starbucks customer for more than 10years, but my experience at the Como Lake Mall location (next to TD Bank) on Sept 5 around 4 pm was shocking. I was rushing for my bus, very thirsty, and for the first time ever I asked for a cup of water without ordering. Normally I always buy something.
When I entered, one staff member told me to line up for another. After waiting, that barista said she was off shift and sent me right back to him. Already confused, I still asked politely for water, and his only response was a blunt âNope.â His tone was rude, unfriendly, and completely unnecessaryâespecially in an empty store saying that is the policy. I had no idea they changed the policy and heard first time from him. Thatâs still ok I asked nicely again I did not know you guys changed the policy so can I get a water for just this time and I will order in future. He said again NOPE. So I left since I didnât have time and didnât want to talk to him not even a single word after that attitude.
What makes this worse is that other Starbucks locations still provide water without requiring a purchase. I even tested this later the same day at another store, where they gave me water with no issue. This inconsistency makes the Como Lake Mall store stand out as stiff, disorganized, and unwelcoming compared to the rest.
Starbucks built its reputation on warm service, but this location failed badly. If this is how long-time customers are treated over something as simple as water, I donât see why I should keep...

I Got ScammedâŚ. i ordered a grande chai with 2 shots and 2 pumps of extra sweetener. this should total to $7.82 roughly. however today i asked my friend to order for me and they payed over $9. they did not know how much it wad normally and did not question it but ME having to pay him back is really upset. not only do i feel as if the cashier up charged him but scammed him because we are still students. i hope this issue is resolved by the cashier clarifying that there will be an extra charger of sweetener in the future, which i did not know there was because if you add the order into app they do not charge it. i hope that they also mention the type of sweetner thatâs originally in the drink so that there are no further confusion in the future. review will change if i have a...

I had her for 4 times and each time, she was rude for no reason. By the way, when I order i always say please and thank you. Each time, I thought it was age related and thought it was my misunderstanding.But, this time there is just no way! She is doing it in purpose! My order was â Can I please get a decaf misto with soyâ Her response was âYou gotta wait for decafâ My response was â Okay, can I get Americano decaf as it takes shorterâ Her responseâ You get whatever is there with very loud voiceâ and she didnât do the Americano.
