One of the best donut and sandwich place I've visited in the world! I was never a big fan of donuts because I could always taste the "aged oil", but after tasting their donuts, I realized the difference of "freshly made". Their glaze is on the sweeter side, but the cream were just right (in terms of sweetness), although I liked the seasonal flavors and creamy stuffing, my fav is still the classic e.g. old fashion. Their dough is what I love most about their donuts: chewy, crusty, fluffy and more importantly not oily. We also tried their breakfast sandwich and BLT, heavy butter creamy taste, salty bacon, very hot steamy buns. Service was fine and efficient, after our first try we went back for more. The second time we visited there was this gentleman at the counter helping us picking out the donuts, he was super nice and patient. If you are in the area, pay them a visit, you will not regret it. Recommend!

When we travel, we always like to ask people about their hidden gems and best recommendations for things to do in town. A few people recommended Bigfoot Donuts to us. So we popped in one afternoon while in Courtenay. We went about 1:30pm and they were sold out of donuts. We were fairly shocked. We learned that the next day was their anniversary, and they had some feature donuts for the anniversary celebration, so we decided to return the next morning. We were shocked at the huge line-up of people there and how many donuts people were buying. We ended up buying a mixed 6-pack of donuts, and a bag of coffee beans to go. The donuts were unlike any we've ever had before. Delicious, inspired, interesting, unique. We can see why they are often sold out. Worth a stop when in Courtenay.

Their donuts are phenomenal without a doubt. It’s a bit of a drive for me to get there, but when I do go there for the occasionally for a morning indulgent, it’s been worth the commute. You will read so many positive reviews and see many mouth drooling photos from patrons that will put you in a state. But I think, what makes the place remarkable are the staff and the regular community members that go there. Every time I go there, I am stunned by their creations. I get a bit confused (as my partner always points out) and thus intimidated on what to order (even though I have clear instructions on what to get). The regulars always seem to be quick and know exactly what to get (I know, I shouldn’t have this problem). Anyways, to get to the point, I messed up my order, she fixed it, I tried to re-fix it $, and she said it wasn’t a problem and I came out with extras. Granted it was getting busy, they were probably annoyed that I couldn’t order straight and so I was willing to get back in line to pay extra but the staff member said “no, it’s not going to happen, even if you get back in line”. And then other people in line jumped in and said I would lose the argument even if I tried to refute. I felt bad (and it was a hard week), and the people there made it okay to move on from my mistake. Not sure if this is a true review, but I just wanted to say again,...

Amazing donuts. Great job on the proofing. So much volume and they are not a dense yeast donut.

the pop tart donut was unique. I really like the strawberry jam added more flavor. The pastry on the pop tart was delicious and flaky.

The dunkaroo donut had a very heavy glaze but the donut itself had amazing flavor. A lot of sugar, obviously being a dunkaroo donut.

I always go for the yeast donuts because they are not a sugary donut where I am going to have a sugar crash in a few hours.

which honestly is not a bad thing having a rich flavored donut it Just a personal preference.

The interior doesn't look like a reastraunt or a coffee shop it's a very unique interior and decor it reminds me of catina.

I do like the larger tables it forces people to converse with one another.

I have to come back, obviously so I can try the...
