I was in Comox for a few days and wanted to check out some of the local museums. I happened upon The Alberni Project as one of the top 10 places to visit in the Comox area. Spent a little over an hour in the main exhibit and another half hour in the Innocent Eyes exhibit. Although the underlying drive of this museum was surrounding the HMCS Alberni history and its sinking during WWII, the exhibits cover much more than that. You get to see perspectives from other parts of society of how the war affected them. The other exhibit, Innocent Eyes, was very moving as it centres around the effect war has on children.
