Starbucks — Restaurant in Courtenay

My friend who is black went in a 1-1.5 weeks ago and was not asked their name for their cup, and then overheard the barista on bar ask the barista on front till who the drink was for. The barista on front responded with "Yeah I didn't ask because I thought the name would be hard to pronounce." I don't think I have to explain what's wrong with that. They then stood there waiting for their drink after that humiliation and when the drink was ready, the beverage wasn't called out for them. They eventually walked up and asked if the drink was their's. For a company that promotes themselves as a 'third' place, and aligns themselves with Black Lives Matter, this is an embarrassment. Disappointed but...

You had one job. Put the desired amount of milk in the cup then fill the rest with coffee. Failed. Earn your 2$ tip next time. Grilled cheese. Both pieces of bread should be at least close to the same size, not half the size of the other. Failed.

I stopped my daily Starbucks visit when the new pos software came in and it felt like I was being shamed to tip $$ so corporate doesn’t have to pay a living wage.

Ordered a venti caramel macchiatto and grande chai. Chai came out in a kids size cup, I questioned it and they corrected quickly. Got my other drink and left. I didn't sip mine until after I had left and was disappointed to find I had a nice cup of sweet steamed milk! The barista didn't put in any of the espresso shots......
