Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Cranbrook

I dont think this dairy queen realizes that their sign says "if not served upside down, the next one is free" under their blizzard advertisement. It's also in proper training for this franchise. The first time we had dq at this location was 6 months ago. That time is was great. Everytime since the blizzards are soft and borderline soupy. One time I went in (after going through the drive thru) because it was so melted it looked like soup! The staff huffed and made a new one. And that one was the exact same consistency. Today, the drive thru lady was not nice or welcoming in any fashion. No friendliness, nothing. We all hate working but jeez, if you're that miserable find somewhere else. (The lady who took the order was lovely to talk to though). Oh and my blizzard was runny and not a blizzard. About the only good thing I can say is they don't skimp on the ingredients in their blizzards. The younger staff need better training and ice cream soup...

Had the pleasure of taking my family to Cranbrook Dairy Queen drive thru for Blizzards tonight December 2nd. While waiting at the window after paying we watched the person making them drop one on the floor. When I told the lady at the window, I assume she was the Manager, what we witnessed, she tried to give it to me. I refused to take it and asked for another one, which they made half assed at best, no apology, absolutely no care from the Manager leaving me wonder if this was her policy for food hitting the floor. I must admit I feel if this is the way they handle things when customers can see, it makes me wonder what goes on in the back where customers can't see, "It's only one patty that fell to the ground, no one will notice". Dairy Queen (must be referring to a cow) has always been about the ice milk products. And treats. So they started making burgers to keep up and have their own style and I do like the flavours of the burgers since they are different from the rest and don't seem as greasy as M's or A&'s. So you fill up on a decent burger for a decent price and get to top it off with a myriad of tasty ice milk treats that usually takes a few minutes to decide on but you're never disappointed. They have such a turnover of product that nothing ever has time to go bad and is truly a formula they have nailed down. Especially in the SUMMER. Especially when the car...
