Alexandra's Pizza Burnside — Restaurant in Dartmouth

3 stars, but ONLY because of how their food was prior. Otherwise it's a hard 1-2 Star Rating.

Really disappointed. Not sure what happened but this place over the recent years has gone down hill. When we used to order before, their fries were crispy, their burgers had substance, their wraps were evenly distributed, the pizzas were properly cooked/weren't greasy, their chicken was tender, and I could go on since we've tried at least 65% of their menu.

For the last few years though it felt like the quality took a massive hit. Their fries are soggy, their meat products (hamburger, meatballs, chicken, etc) is either cooked way too much or not even close to being enough, things like their chicken strips are sometimes burnt while the meat is dry, their chicken wings have a ratio of 4:6 meat to bone while it's overcooked and lacks sauce, their pizza is overcooked to the point the pepperoni is burnt/crispy while the oils from the cheese and meat literally leave a grease stain through the box on the surface it's placed on, and again the list goes on.

The reason we even order from there now is because my partner enjoys very few of their items (mainly ones with veggies) and even then they're noticing a decline in quality. The only reason we don't call and complain when our order has any of the aforementioned issues is because a while back we had called in and the person on the phone argued that an item at didn't want wasn't asked to be removed, even though at that point I know we did. Instead of politely asking "are you able to pull up the receipt and check over the order?", there was an argument. We've now gotten into the habit of triple checking the order before we order and screenshotting it.

I tried to give the benefit of the doubt but a recent order really sealed it for me. Since due to previous orders being generally bland or not exactly what we were expecting, I didn't even want to order from here but for my partner I did. I chose a simple meal the last few times, and I had to be told after paying that they were out of something every time. I could disregard it the first time but this time, they were out of an item so I had to choose an alternative. I decided to try something else, they delivered it and honest to god.. what I got was clearly "closing time pickings". Barely any sauce, the meat was almost non-existent, it felt like it sat under a heating lamp/was reheated and the flavor.. well, there was none. I ended up trying to fix the dish myself, but even I couldn't bring it back from the dead.

Giving them this rating because they used to be so good, but it feels like their overall parent company is sending them the scraps when it comes to ingredients. Going forward, if we order again it'll definitely only be for my partner. I can't stand the...

Ordered a poutine from them tonight and the delivery took over an hour. When the delivery driver eventually did show up, I tried to pay my $13 order in cash (with a $20 bill) and she claimed to have no change and would have to go back to the store WITH MY MONEY IN HAND to get change. I said "no way" and managed to find the right change and paid for my food. Similar situation happened to my friend with far worse results a few days ago. They ordered a pizza which took almost 2 hours to arrive, and when it did, the delivery driver claimed the debit machine was not working and walked back to the car with my friend's DEBIT CARD IN HAND, AND PROCEEDED TO DRIVE AWAY. My friend called the store, and the staff did not help and did not seem to care even a little bit. My friend was then forced to cancel the debit card that was stolen from them. Not sure what's going on at this store, but I will definitely not order...

I had the most worst Shawarma wrap here 20 minutes ago.Went here straight away after my shift. I regret that it was not for dining in, otherwise I would have asked the person who made it to eat it or take it to his home. I was there with 3 other people till the wrap was made and it was super cold when I opened it as the ingredients were directly take from a refrigerator. also the chicken was extremely dry. Curious to know if they eat in the same way. Please don't ask me to report this to the store as I am never going there again nor my office staff. You could simply tell that you dont have the item or dont know how to make it so that we c an choose something else from your menu. Also please wear gloves while preparing the food or make it behind that big wall so that we will not...
