I usually come to this location because of the great coffee and management. This time, I went in and ordered at the counter, showing a buy one, get one free offer from Uber Eats. The lady taking my order was polite and accepted the deal, which I appreciated.
After ordering, I sat in the seating area. My order was ready, but no one informed me—I had to ask myself. Another staff member then handed me one coffee and questioned the offer. Thankfully, the manager confirmed it and asked them to make the second drink.
Again, when the second coffee was ready, no one called out my name—they just placed it on the counter. I had to go up again and collect it myself.
When I simply showed the Uber offer again to clarify, another staff member (who I hadn’t even interacted with) suddenly accused me of being rude. Her tone was harsh, and it felt like she jumped to conclusions based on very little. Honestly, it felt like there was some judgment or bias involved—and that made me really uncomfortable.
The manager, however, was excellent—professional, kind, and supportive. That’s the main reason I’ve always liked this place.
But because of this one negative interaction, I no longer feel the same comfort coming here. I hope the team learns from this experience. Good service should come from passion, not aggression.
Wishing you all the best.
Went back again and they fully sorted things out. Really appreciated the way they handled it kind, respectful, and generous. Got a free meal too! We all make mistakes, but what matters is how you treat your customers, and they did great. Rare to see service like...
Read moreI’ve been to coffee street several times now after discovering it recently, and I immediately fell in love with it! I only found this hidden gem a couple months ago as a friend brought me there, but it’s been my favourite study/hangout spot ever since! The staff are so sweet and helpful, very friendly and the service is excellent. I love the points system they use; I’ve got so many free cookies and drinks from collecting points when making purchases. I love the environment within the cafe, the great variety board/card games, kind staff, and cute little lights around the windows make for such a comforting place to have a cup of coffee and catch up on school assignments or even plain hangout with friends! The food and drinks are excellent, highly recommend the hot/iced chai lattes as well as the food as it tastes so fresh and amazing. The Cheesecake is also a huge hit haha. There was even one time when me and a friend had been there for a few hours doing some studying together, and the staff offered us free Mozzarella sticks because they had made some extra, we were so grateful and they were very tasty! You 100% get what you pay for from the entire experience. Love this place so so much and honestly don’t have a single bad thing to say about it. As a teenager who finds it very hard to find nice and affordable places to hang out with friends, this place was such a life saver and is now my favourite cafe ever. Such a friendly environment, keep up the amazing services and thank you to the staff! 🩷🩷 (Pictures below from different visits...

I just have to look at the french toast sprinkled with a bit of cinnamon, to turn me off. 2 slices of bread, less than an egg worth of prebought egg liquid, and seasoning. 2 slices of paperthin bacon. And you charge $9 for that trash? Material cost alone is less than a buck. Anyone can make better food than that.
Or lets have another laugh. 3 tiny pancakes from prebought pancake mix, and a small thing of immitation syrup for 8 bucks? The packet of immitation syrup costs more than the pancakes. For that, I would much rather see a big pancake, with some whipping cream and maybe some slices of fruit and topped with complementary spices and some maple syrup for a half decent experience.
I could go on with many items on the menu, but think 2 is enough.
What the restaurant is expecting from their customer base is asinine. Rule of thumb for any restaurant is a max 300% return on value added product. This place, 800% expected lol, doomed to fail. This is another restaurant that think it sprinkles gold in their food. Restaurant owners seem to have forgotten how to properly formulate a menu for chefs to cook meaningful food that customers can be happy with. This tops the list of reasons to...
