Had the candied bacon burger and it was fantastic. Great conversational atmosphere and decore. The front doors could use a vestibule as the cold winds blasted through the restaurant. Second visit not as busy this go and decided to eat on the patio. Candied burger and poutine was Devine. The poutine gravy was amazing and definitely a good add on. Burger itself makes my top 3 easily with nice bun with wagyu beef and candied bacon mmmmm. Wife ordered the haddock with mash and she enjoyed it thoroughly. Service is on par but nothing extraordinary. Overall good night out tonight compared to the last visit. Third visit had the candied bacon burger and chicken vindaloo. Burger was great however the bacon wasn’t as candied as the first experience. Ended up getting a bunch of butt ends for fries which wasn’t as great. The vindaloo was good size with tons of chicken but wasn’t as authentic as some places. Was still tasty. Was served a dirty cup of water which I had promptly replaced. Service this go was hit and miss. Waitress completely disappeared by the time we were done so we checked ourselves out as we were done waiting. Restaurant was not busy at all. We decided to sit outside but I would recommend a sweater as the winds can get pretty high off the highway.

We have dined at the Dartmouth location many times and have enjoyed the food and service. Tonight was different. 3 people from our table ordered the chicken sliders, which I have had before. As you can see from the picture, one order was quite a bit smaller than the other two. Also, I ordered sweet potato fries instead of the regular fries and I was told that because I switched the fries, my meal wouldn’t come with a salad as it usually does. I assumed that because they took the salad away, that was in lieu of an up charge and the server didn’t mention the up charge. When my bill came I asked about the $4.00 charge and was told it was listed on the menu. So my question is, if I was going to be paying an up charge, why did they take the salad away since I was paying for it anyway? And why would the kitchen send 3 identical meals to the same table and not have consistent serving sizes? Needless to say, this visit was a disappointment.

Location is far from downtown, however Location is perfect for people around the area. There is a lot of free parking which it makes it easier to be there. Decorations and layout ✨️ 💓, I liked the layout and decorations, it is cozy and romantic, the restaurant can fit large group as well. Cleanliness: cleaning is acceptable 👌 Time waiting to be seated, my experience the restaurant was busy 😪 but we found seats available immediately. Time to be served, was reasonable Service from my experience it was excellent 👌 👏 the waitress well knowledgeable about the ingredients and can explain it well. Food presentation was excellent 👌 Food was rich tasty, delicious 😋 😍 👌 and yummy 😋. Prices $$ affordable and reasonable. Conclusion, I am coming back to taste a different plate

I had rated this 4 stars after my first few times there, but I'm down to 2 now. I've had a few less than great experiences, and this evening I had possibly the worst meal and experience of my life.

Went there with my wife, mom, mother in law and daughters for a mothers day dinner. My mothers appetizer got skipped, my mother-in-laws fish and chips had poorly cooked batter, my wife didn't get fries with her meal because of an upsell she purchased, and she wasn't told that would happen.

The waitress took a plate of food from in front of my daughter while she was still eating and it made my daughter cry. She was eating at the arrugula garnish on the plate. I get most people don't eat that regularly, but she was enjoying it and the waitress never asked. From my daughters perspective someone just came and took a plate of food she was eating.

We never got water and half the table didn't have anything to drink for half the meal. Finally, my wifes desert was brought out ahead of my daughters deserts, and like, that's not a nice thing to do to my kids. My wife shared, obviously, but my kids were like "Where's ours?"

I took all the most important women in my life to a place and they all got annoyed or disappointed. Happy mothers day from the Millstone?

I've worked the line in a kitchen. I've served food. I've worked in some damn nice hotels. I understand that things can go wrong sometimes. It seemed like a lot of things were going wrong at the millstone tonight. At this point I worry it's systemic. I enjoy the food there but I'll never go back if there's a chance of another...

Our work section ate at The Millstone Public House in Dartmouth for lunch today. Something we were looking forward to as it was a planned outing for about two weeks. I wanted to try something different that was on the menu. The description sounded great. I like curry and I like seafood.

Curried Seafood Crêpes Warm crêpes filled with salmon, shrimp and scallops simmered in a curry cream sauce.

We had a couple of appetizers while waiting. Which was great, along with the service. We waited for about 50 mins for our meals. Now I am only speaking for my meal here. What a disappointment. I could not find any of the listed items in my crepe, which looked like a soggy ball on my plate, wIth bits of dried up fish on top, the amount of, maybe a couple fork full. It came with mixed veggie (broccoli) which was over cooked and garlic mashed potatoes which were a little on the wet side. The curry sauce was questionable. Now I did eat about a third of the meal, as I did not want to send it back, after waiting 50 minutes already. When the server came and asked how the meal was I had told him that mine did not fit the description on the menu and I would not recommend it to anyone. He said he would mention it to the cooks and talk to the manager. The server informed us that the meal would be discounted. Discounted? Well, I did eat some of it after waiting 50 minutes for it to arrive at our table. The bill came and it was discounted $2.55. Seriously?...

On Saturday night approx 9:00 pm, on our way home from the airport we decided to get some supper and the Millstone Public House immediately came to mind. Close to home. We waited to be greeted, and then were seated in the bar area. We usually sit in the dining area. There were a number of loud patrons at the bar and the the waitresses were being very attentive to that crowd. We waited for drinks and we waited for a menu. My wife ordered the pasta special and specifically ordered it with no Parm cheese...which she hates. Our meals took forever and when another waitress brought them out, my wifes was covered with Parm. which the girl took back. Now I am eating by myself while hers is remade and then she eats by herself because I was finished early. We came there to eat together. I told the waitress,Kristy (who duely noted...My bad!with a grin, that I did not find it funny but she continued to focus on the crowd at the bar and laughed. The way too loud guys at the bar, and one in particular was asked by someone to turn it down a notch. The one guy was Fbombing the place and the whole group could care less. I was upset and had to actually take my bill to the bar to pay and interrupt to get that done. It was a totally unpleasant experience. I chose MS over Jamisons, in hind sight, a mistake I...
