Well first time trying the Dill pickle and I can Honestly say with certainty I will NEVER order from there again, ordered on skip the dishes their "Giant Breakfast" HA which is supposed to have 2 eggs (they style you choose) , 2 slices of bacon, 2 slices of ham, 2 slices of sasuage ... (However you get a slice of a sausage is beyond me ) home fries and toast and I ordered a coffee.. it arrives and I chose scrambled eggs there is 2 over hard terribly fried eggs, NO sasuage 2 TINY pieces of ham a helping of hasbrowns I got all them on fork in one go thats how little the helping was some raw toast and over done bacon. Paid over 22 for that to my door through skip... the coffee had cream in it inwhich I didn't specify I wanted cream I wanted black coffee. Un real where is the quality in stuff anymore sad your even ok with sending that to a customer very DISSATISFIED in your quality and portion of your "Giant Breakfast"

I hate to give a bad review but my experience here was NOT good. The server was very sweet and friendly but the service was slow. The rest was just NOT good. I ordered a "Gourmet Ham and Cheese". I don't know what is supposed to be "gourmet" about it. Store bought stale bread. Plastic cheese. Meager ingredients. They threw it dry into a panini press for a couple seconds without even asking me if I wanted it toasted. Just plain old disappointing. I paid over $16 for a basic sandwich, a small can of diet pepsi and a snack size bag of chips. I will never go back there again.

I always saw this place anytime I went to Sobeys or access NS but never thought to try it because we don’t like pickles. I was thinking it might be pickle oriented. We gave it a try today and had an amazing brunch, Saiid went above and beyond for us. Being a single mom going out to eat with two small kids isn’t an easy task but Saiid made sure we felt welcome and comfortable moving an extra round table closer to us so my kids could continue to Color while they ate. Thank you for the wonderful brunch, it was delish, we’ll be back ! :)

We recently visited the Dill Pickle Sandwich Bar and Cafe - choosing it because their menu offered gluten-free options—important for someone in our group who has celiac. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations.

The interior could definitely use a bit of attention—it felt a little tired and didn’t offer the warm, welcoming vibe we were hoping for. That said, our server was friendly and did her best to accommodate us.

After placing our order, we were told there was no gluten-free bread available. The staff offered to run out and buy some, which we appreciated in theory, but at that point the other meals were already being prepared and insulin had been taken—so waiting or leaving wasn’t a realistic option. Our gluten-free diner had to pick something else on the fly.

As a Monte Cristo fan, I ordered it expecting the usual rich, indulgent sandwich. Instead, it was a basic ham-and-cheese on French toast—just one slice of each, with none of the heft or flavor the dish is typically known for.

The coffee setup is self-serve, which isn’t a problem, but it would’ve been nice to be told that instead of just being handed an empty cup.

I brought up the gluten-free issue with the owner at the end, and while she did agree to remove that meal from the bill, the conversation felt a bit tense. Our server, to her credit, apologized again and remained kind throughout.

There’s potential here, and I don’t doubt the staff care—but between the atmosphere, food execution, and dietary oversight, it just didn’t quite hit the mark for...

We went out to try the Dill Pickle Sandwich Bar and Cafe after hearing many folks talk so positive about this location. The staff are extremely gracious and pleasant and you could see with many other regular customers how they had orders memorized made everyone feel so welcome. We were a party of 3 and we were simply blown away with how good the food was and how positive the experience was. We will definitely be back and explore more off their exceptional menu. To the staff, amazing job with your location, excellent job with the food and selections. Offered Gluten free options which is very important with Celiac disease. This has moved to the top of list of my favorite dining locations!! If your in Dartmouth please don't hesitate to try out the Dill Pickle Sandwich Bar and Cafe, you will NOT be...
