I found my new favourite coffee shop! Cannot praise the staff enough- they have renewed my faith in humanity and are genuinely great people. I unknowingly dropped my wallet outside this establishment on a Friday evening; figured it for sure was long gone. I received a Facebook message from the owner of the coffee shop on Monday morning, saying one of their employees found my wallet and brought it in, and they have kept it safe for me. They absolutely didn’t have to go through this trouble, but I appreciate it. I nearly cried when I opened my wallet to find that everything was exactly as it was when I lost it. This is a true attest to their characters and I will be sure to tell everyone I know they need to support this local business. I will happily spend my money at this coffee shop supporting such amazing, kindhearted people… and do so while enjoying their delicious baked goods and beverages! Owned by hometown hero Joel Plaskett, NSYE hosts a highly curated selection of modern and used LP's, and very friendly, helpful staff willing to answer any questions you might have. Coffee is above-average in terms of quality for the local Cafe scene and the servers there are trained to industry standard quality -- definitely a highlight on Portland Street.

I’ll admit it, I had no idea there was a coffee shop tucked inside Taz Records until I wandered in after seeing the lineup down the street at Café Good Luck. Turns out people are sleeping on Morleys. Coffee was genuinely great… like, “why-are-more-people-not-talking-about-this” great. Super chill vibe too, with the bonus of browsing records while you wait.
