First off, let's start on the positive side of things. The burger was really good the bun was really fresh and soft both myself and my friend loved it. The fries were good as well, like how it had a little peppery taste to it. I would buy this again. The burger, I believe, was the bacon mushroom burger. We did eat something before we came, so we were full after we ate the meal. Usually, I would have to say it may not be completely filling. But it was good. The downside of the burger was that the patties were not made at the store but that the store bought tasting. Something like that I wouldn't want to pay the amount that I did, I would have expected freshly made burger pattie. I still like how it's not on a typical burger bun, though. I also feel like the portion of fries is getting smaller.
This would be the second time my friend and I came to this location and I was really shocked that there was no host/hostess present to greet us, there was only two tables that was full of people, and all the tables were dirty. They sat us down at a dirty table, then cleaned it, sort of still leaving the last person's meal crumbs and sticky drink marks on the table. We asked for a moment to continue looking at the menu, and that moment became 10 minutes. I finished my beverage and was not asked about a refill until after the meal came. And we waited about 25-30 minutes till our meal came. Mean while we had two other tables being filled and 2 tables becoming empty. I know people desire tips, but I am reclining on giving out tips due to people giving poor services and having meals quite expensive. Truth be told, Tips used to be for service that was outstanding, and if you got a tip, it's because the customer feels you deserve it. It seems like that is out the windows, and you are required to give a tip. If a server/cook are doing their job, I believe the place should be paying them what they are due. If the serve/cook gets a tip, it's because you have wowed the customer and went above and beyond the duty that was required of you. Tips should not be required or expected. I am getting tired of seeing signs or having people tell me that I am supposed to leave a tip. Where I work, I do not see people tipping me. You expect me to do my duty that I was hired to do. Sometimes people give me a little extra... but I don't ask for it or expect it. But I am grateful for the little extra that has been given to me. This is how it should be...
Read moreFood was very good on previous visits. However when our group was seated, our level of service went downhill real fast.
-The waitress on multiple times forgot our drink order. -Our waitress did not input our appetizer order -We saw what we guessed was our food sit under the heat lamp for at least 10 Mins or more. For example the cheese toast was sitting there long enough to become hard and not fit to eat. -had to request cutlery twice. Both time waitress forgot. I had to walk up to the serving station and ask for someone to supply our table with cutlery -we had a different waitress come to our table and say that due to the mix ups they were going to discount our meals and provide us with complimentary desert. -we got our bills and they were all mixed up and out of order, plus no discount was applied. -i am not sure where our original waitress went but we never saw her again. -when we noticed the discount was not applied the new waitress went and got another lady. Who was very argumentative with us. Saying wr were only to get "3" free deserts. Which is funny because we were a group of 5. the lady then continued to be argumentative as if it was us who made the mistake. Finally she went and fixed the bill. Kinda the food was all still mixed up but by that point we just wanted to leave.
Our group was there for a work trip and this was our third time eating there within a week. However they way our last visit went, I doubt any of us will go back.
It's unfortunate that with all the mistakes that were made.... at the end of it all we were left feeling like we were inconveniencing them.
Summary: Poor Service, Poor food quality, unsatisfactory food, unsanitary facilities, unprofessional Management, overpriced, obvious financial struggles, inadequate staff, questionable food prep, storage and Serving practices. Poor-non existent Canadian manners (newcomer manager), Server refused to confirm their own willingness to consume food presented to customers
Arrived at 1:45pm on a quiet non busy Sunday afternoon, (contemplated leaving after waiting 40minutes for order) orders arrived after 52minutes. Complete dissatisfaction once orders were examined, Extremely hot plate but lukewarm food, group ordered steaks and vegetables, 1 steak was ordered medium rare but came very well done, 2nd steak was smothered in a unappetizing “Gravy” which smelled like old milk. Both vegetables ordered were absolutely Charred and covered in carbon which made them brittle and smelled like burnt seasoning. The 1st steak was reordered for the same medium rare request, but came VERY RARE. Quite obvious the chefs and cooks were very inexperienced, server offered refills after 30 minutes of waiting for food. Inquiry was made to manager, he completely denied the request for denial of payment due to inedible order of disgusting “Gravy” and burnt vegetables as well as refused to acknowledge errors and issues with other orders stating “ that’s how they’re always made” and “that’s how the food comes” Manager acted in a condescending manner to avoid a reasonable compromise, insisting that customer pays for an absolutely untouched denied order. Bathroom was disgusting, place probably used for quick access to bathroom...
