Joe's Pizza Stone — Restaurant in Dawson Creek

Update 21 August 2023: picked up my large veggie with extra cheese this time. The girl at the counter was super nice, fast and courteous. The pizza was better this time!!! You guys nailed it!! Going to up my review by 1 more star.... amazing or mind blowing no. But way better! Great pizza

Ok so, context: I got Delivery, and I ordered the Mediterranean pizza. The price (if it were a city) would be high but for where we're located, it's expected.

Quantity of toppings, a little on the lacking side but not bad. The quality of ingredients however, superb.

The pizza seemed like it was a little undercooked by 5 min or so on the whole, and the top was very wet, a bit of pooled water which I suspect is the feta cheese moisture not having cooked off.

I'm all about the crust though, which was pretty good. Not too greasy and not to bready. Good crunch outside, soft inside.

Value for the dollar, meh, not great. Had it been cooked a bit longer and not soggy or had there been slightly more toppings, I'd say average value based on price

I suspect I caught them perhaps on an off day, will try them again later, and edit this review accordingly if need be. They're definitely worth another shot though. Good crust and good quality ingredients always deserves...

Staying in town for a month working, and decided I wanted pizza. I always try the non corporate named places first in hopes of finding a nice locally owned snd operated mom and pop type place, with awesome pizza. THIS WAS NOT IT. I ordered a meat lovers pizza. It should come covered in meat. And cheese too technically. It was lacking HARD in both those areas….and those are what all really make a pizza! It was a pizza flavoured crust with a sprinkle of cheese, that you could actually see through and I could see the crust base through the pizza toppings! It looked like a frozen pizza had been cooked in their industrial oven and sold to me. I honestly, no word oh a lie, ate 2 pieces, a bite of the third and then threw the entire thing away. Me my wife and kid came from Vancouver and we eat a lot of pizza. This place has some of the best pizza I've had anywhere. They said it'll be here in 45min and it was here in 45 minutes. Delivery guy was polite. Prices are great for what you get. We ordered the "Cheese Madness" and "Hot Veggie"

Crust 9.5 out of 10 - Thin crust baked properly with a nice crunch. 👌

Taste 10 out of 10 for both pizzas 👌

Toppings for "Hot Veggie" 8.5 out of 10 - Could have used a little more on the toppings but was still great tasting and spicy. 👍

My daughter doesn't usually like pizza but ate a whole slice! She gave it the stamp of approval.😁
