Wok Box - Dawson Creek — Restaurant in Dawson Creek

If I could give zero stars I would. Gross. Every single one of the meals ordered. We went in for my son's birthday and he was devastated with his meal. There was a group of four of us (one paid separately). None of us finished our meals, in the current economy, wasting food is not overly optional. But for over $50 for three meals, I would have expected better food, with more flavour and not cold. The breading for my son's chicken was still partially raw and his noodles were a hard clump smothered in orange chicken sauce (not the sweet and sour he ordered) the ginger beef had no flavor unless you count the oil flavor and my daughters butter chicken was lumpy and cold. 3 of us became quite nauseous and one of us ended up sick. Before even leaving we brought this up and i didnt expect a full refund or anything, a partial refund yes but instead was just told we could have our meals remade. We were already disappointed, why continue the disappointment? With the complete disregard of customer service, we left feeling very unheard and shoved off. Will absolutely not...

The food is great, however the service really needs to be worked on. I called ahead of time to order, I sat on hold for 10 minutes, which wasn't hold I heard everything... When we get there to pick up there are 6 of us total in line, the lady at the front was more concerned about her coke and Pepsi order coming in than the customers in line staring at her. Then instead of helping the gentleman in front of us she starts bagging orders, mind you there are 4-5 other people back there.

Overall this really needs to be worked on, I won't stop going here I just really hope to see some improvements as I know they are just starting up.

Edit as the owner has responded I completely understand you try to get to pickups first, however I didn't want to disrespect the people before us as we were a pick up... I would suggest maybe creating a pick up line? It would solve that issue 😊 Thank you for taking my review into consideration, I absolutely understand you guys are in a learning stage hence my review. We can't learn from mistakes if we don't know...

Clearly the people who opened this are cutting corners to try and save money it's really sad. Wok box is usually pretty good and pretty uniform across all locations but this one is cheap owners thinking they can scam the community. I asked for the sprouts that where suppose to be with my meal. I got cut up sprouts lol. You can't get much cheaper then that. They are watering down sauces. I asked for basil and was told they are not including it because it loses flavour however like every other wok box you don't cut it up you wait till dish is complete then garnish with the whole leaf where it does not lose flavour as it has not been cut. They have not put in fountain pop machine because I'm sure trying to save money. As well the short girl behind counter that where's gloves to touch everything with the same gloves lol cheap and dirty place I would not recommend eating here or giving them business it would be better for them to have to shut down so they learn ripping people off and cutting corners only...
