Bears Den Lounge & Motel — Restaurant in Deep River

RESTAURENT EXPERIENCE Used to go every Thursday for their wings but service was getting worse so we decided to go every once in a while. Up until tonight it was alright however our server was Laryn. Now we gave our drink orders to him twice and told him how the cheques would be devided up and didint get our drinks until right before our food. He couldn’t get the dishes or drinks to the right people which was not too much of a bother as there where a few other tables there as well. What bothered me about his service was I had a screaming baby throwing a full on temper tantrum at the end of our meal so we asked for our cheque. We did have multiple people at our table would of been three separate cheques. He proceeded to go to the other couple seated with us. I spoke up in frustration stating if he could expedite us as we had a screaming baby and was wanting to leave asap (I don’t know about others but I felt bad for the other people at the restaurent trying to enjoy their meal). To which he responded he didint deserve to be talked to that way with a lot of attitude behind his statement. Mind you I did not raise my voice I just spoke to him directly maybe not the nicest tone but I have a baby having a full on temper tantrum and NOTHING IS WORKING. I had to walk away and my husband dealt with our baby and brought her out to the car as I went to grab our left overs I pulled him to the side and asked for his name which he would not give me until I gave him mine. I went to walk away and very loudly in front of all the customers he states I did nothing wrong to you. I responded with I just wanted some empathy and respect. The lack of professionalism shown by this server was something I had never experienced before and even having experience in the serving industry myself would of...

The food wasn't that good unfortunately... The waitress forgot our drinks to start not only to bring them to the table but that we ordered two waters and she only brought one. The kitchen forgot our blue cheese dip or any dip as a matter of fact for our Buffalo cauliflower bites when asked for it she brought out a container of blue cheese which had to be sent back for a dressing which was supposed to be blue cheese but tasted extremely bad, the buffalo cauliflower bites tasted so disgusting that out of three of us one person could manage to eat them resulting in us spitting it out the flavor was so harsh. We also ordered a kids fish and chips, french onion soup and calamari... The French onion soup was mediocre it was mozzarella instead of Swiss and had an odd taste, my son's fish he wouldn't eat do I had a few bites(which had an off taste) then realized the fish had a strange color to it and after removing the batter had established a yellow color to the fish with a harsh smell. The two glasses of chocolate milk my children got the glasses had a dirty rag smell to them. About an hour and a half after eating I had gotten sick and also had diahrea. This place is very cute and the description of their meals sound delightful unfortunately I would not recommend this for future reference. The waitress did refund us for the buffalo bites......

The waitress was pushy and grew irritated with us quickly when we were not ready to order after having just sat down not long prior. She mentioned a buffet but no price which took our prompting and was "around $30 a person." I ended up ordering the venison and wild boar burger. It was quite dry and very tough. There was a very nice smoked cheese on it and the bun was decent but the whole effect was ruined by iceburg lettuce and a clump of red onions. I paid extra for the sweet potatoes fries but wish I hadn't as they were quite bland. The food my family ordered was mediocre at best as well and all of it took quite a while to arrive despite us being the only ones in the restaurant. While waiting for our food she took a call and told the caller she was too busy to name off all the salads on the menu, yet again we were the only people in the restaurant aside from those eating at an already manned buffet service. She was apparently also too busy to check up on us as to how our food was. When finished she asked if we would like coffee or desert and we had to remind her about the children's desert that came with their meal. The whole meal came to just under $50.00 with no alcohol being ordered. This is not the first time I have eaten here and received sub par service but it will...
