A&W Canada — Restaurant in District Municipality of Muskoka

This place SUCKED!!! This post isn’t even going to sound believable but I assure you it is. Our fries were just cooked enough to not be raw. They were limp and chewy. None of us ate them. My kids asked for milk 👏. A&W served us milk from the counter that they add to coffee instead of the normal container milk that comes with their kids meal (see picture of kids meal on menus at any A&W ANYWHERE). When I informed the lady’s at the counter that the kids didn’t like the milk because it was warm and gross from being on the counter the lady said “haha your kids just want you to buy them chocolate milk!” I am now appalled. My response; “ Actually I tried it, it’s disgusting you shouldn’t be putting warm milk in people’s coffees either” my kids ended up with chocolate milk as it was the only thing I could get them that actually came out of a fridge. We will never come back. You should not go. And I did report it to the health unit...

Ordered a couple burgers and some chicken strips, asked for cheese on the papa burger, ketchup and honey mustard sauce. At the window we paid and were asked to go park in front of the store. The guy beside us was obviously waiting for his food too and ended up driving back to the window, talking and then leaving before getting his food.

When it finally came out they were missing a drink. So my wife asked for the drink, they went back in while we looked at the order and realized no condiments either. My wife ended up walking in to get the condiments and we started eating. My papa burger with cheese was 3 patties with nothing but mayonnaise and pickles, no cheese. It was gross. The wife didn't like her burger either but we didnt get into specifics about why it was likely terrible as well.

It appears that the store has been taken over by new management within the last year or so. I am a frequent A&W customer but not at this particular location.

This was the last time I will take my family to this location. The restaurant is full of HOUSE FLIES that land on everything when they are not buzzing around in groups.

The bathroom floor was greasy from the same mop that I guess cleans the kitchen. It is a slip hazard.

The credit card/debit card readers weren’t working so the employees were using a mobile device attached to their personal cell phones ( I saw this and paid by cash).

Back to the flies. No employees should have to work under those type of conditions. I’m sure the health department would have something to say about it too.
