Exit 156 Port Severn Restaurant — Restaurant in District Municipality of Muskoka

Arrived at this location with a larger group of people this morning.

We were waiting for everyone to be ready before entering the restaurant. Without even approaching the building, the server working inside the location popped her head out the door and rudely addressed us. Without even saying hello or good morning, she snappily stated that they were completely full inside the location and they would NOT be able to serve us. She then stated we could get take out, but that that was our only option. She did not suggest a time for us to wait for a table to be served, but basically implied she would not be serving us.

We promptly left and will not be returning to this location. It’s a shame because we have heard great things about the food. Had our group of people been older, I feel as though we would not have been treated this way. It is as simple as saying a kind hello, and people might actually consider supporting...

Went into this very quiet restaurant for lunch with my hubby. We sat down and the server only looked and acknowledged my husband. The server placed two menus directly in front of my husband. My husband handed my menu to me. My husband also handed my utensils to me , because hey were also placed directly in front of him. I felt so invisible!!!! The server asked my husband if he was ready or order, so my husband looked at me and asked me if I was ready so I gave my order. It just felt odd!!! ANYWAYS, I had a Canadian burger with poutine. The burger was good. The poutine… the cheese curds were a bit cold. The server did not come back to the table to see how things were or if we needed anything. We stopped for dinner on our way home from Killarney. The exterior of the building does not inspire confidence. The saying, "You cannot judge a book by its cover" could not be more true in the case of this restaurant. My sister and I both ordered burgers and they were absolutely delicious! The buns were fresh and the burger tasted house-made (not sure if they were, but they had that quality and flavour). The fries were good quality given they were frozen, and the gravy was robustly flavourful. The service was fantastic. Our server was the only one in the restaurant, which filled up by the time we were leaving. Despite how busy she was, her demeanour was always pleasant and inviting.
