Stopped to grab something quick and somewhat healthy on our travels for our family of 4. Walk in and there are 3 teen staff members. There was one lady waiting for her pita to be made and no other people in line. After we started placing our order another family came in. The young lady taking orders was pleasant and attentive. She took my order and proceeded to give it to the other 2 that were heating the meats on the grill and filling the pitas with the toppings. One was a female the other a male. They spent more time flirting with each other than actually making my pitas. The girl kept touching the guys face and arm then would grab the meat for one of the 4 pitas. Then go back to flirting then get the next meat. And so on. Not only did this cause delay in getting our pitas but the fact she went from touching this guys face to our food was gross. The grill looked like it hadn't been cleaned all day. The toppings were so mixed and messy it was gross. The guy making the ladies pita before ours put BBQ sauce (at least that's what it looked like) and it was dumped on the counter. The guy used his glove to "wipe it off" by wipe it off I mean smeared the excess and then proceed to place one of our pitas on the mess. He dropped a bit of meat from each of our pitas on the floor, grill, or counter so we ended up getting less meat than we should have. Every single one of our pitas had a bunch of extra ingredients we didn't want because of how messy and how the ingredients mixed. Safe food handling is either not taught or not enforced. If I thought the young lady at the register knew how to do a refund I would have...
Read moreWe went at Pita Pit Huntsville at lunchtime on the august long weekend (Monday) and assumed it would be busy. I’ve worked in the service industry at multiple places and I know how it can get. There had to have been 15ish people (if not more) waiting in there to order and have food made. Most other locations I’ve had experiences where they take so long I almost regret going in there. The team of 4 people that they had working had a great system going. They took turns taking orders, and were be all hands on deck when all the orders were taken. We were in there maybe just over 10 minutes and we were about 12th/13th in line. The washrooms were also very clean and I assumed with how busy it would be it might have been one of those washrooms where there is stuff everywhere and absolutely filthy. This wasn’t the case.
The only reason why they missed a star is because we didn’t get asked if we wanted any veggies on the grill and they were VERY stingey with the toppings. Got a regular sized pita and it wasn’t even close to being full. As well as that the servers all seemed miserable (I understand they’re working on a Monday of a long weekend) but I don’t think I saw a single smile on any one of them the...
Read moreNormally not one to leave a negative review, however, my experience was horrible unfortunately. Started off with a rude cashier who didn’t even make eye contact and rushed me through my order. I am a bit hard of hearing and she seemed really frustrated having to speak louder. When it came time to add toppings to my sons and my pita, we were beckoned by them yelling what pita we had where again they were rude and seemed to not take care in how they prepared the pita. My sons bacon for his pita ended up in my wrap with all of my toppings and sauce touching the bacon, and instead of getting new bacon they slapped his bacon back in to his pita…. The counters were covered in a sauce which they did not care and wrapped our pitas on a filthy counter. Even after all this I used my manners and thanked them and nothing was said back to us. I’m beyond frustrated with my experience and was not impressed with the lack of customer service, cleanliness and cross contamination! I’m shocked people have had good experiences here honestly. The woman behind us had a wrap that was swimming in sauce and they ripped her pita wrapping it. Eat at this location at...
