If you haven’t had the pleasure of dining at Smokin Hot BBQ in Huntsville, Ontario, you are truly missing out on a culinary gem! From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the unique atmosphere of the restaurant, nestled in a historic train station. I couldn't resist trying the sampler platter, and it was the best decision I made! It allowed me to indulge in all my favorites, and I can’t recommend it enough. Pair that with a glass of their freshly squeezed lemonade, and you’ve got a match made in heaven! And if you have room for dessert (which you absolutely should), the bread pudding is to die for – a perfect sweet ending to an incredible meal.

Smokin' Hot BBQ is EXACTLY THAT! Wow - just wow. My fiancé and I were blown away. We visited this past Sunday (July 6th) for a "taste testing" as we chose to book Smokin Hot for our upcoming wedding this October. We booked them with hopes that the reviews would equal to amazing food without knowing for sure but after this recent visit we know FOR CERTAIN the food is absolutely phenomenal. Andrea has been wonderful to deal with from the very beginning - answering every email I have sent in a timely manner, offering suggestions and expertise that I feel like we have developed a pen pal type friendship at this point (lol)! I informed her Friday that we would be in the area on Sunday for a visit. Expecting to purchase our own meals as we were coming as regular guests, we were pleasantly surprised to be presented a taste testing platter at no charge! Let me tell you how mouth watering the food was. We tried the brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs, smoked turkey, pork belly, coleslaw, baked beans (sweet) and cornbread with maple butter. The way my fiancé described the food is not something I can post publicly on google, it was THAT GOOD!! We are BEYOND stoked for our wedding guests to try the food and have the same experience we had. Not only is the food amazing, but so is the aesthetic of restaurant. Smokin' Hot BBQ is THE PLACE to be in all of Muskoka and maybe even the GTA. Make sure you ring the bell after you eat!! If I could give this BBQ joint 6 stars for everything, I would!! Absolutely phenomenal does not do it justice. Vibe, staff, owners, food, the old train station...it's like all my Christmases came at once.

They are so genuine in their labour of love here. Everything is perfect and you can tell that their only mission in life is to create an incredible community atmosphere and throw in kick-a** food to boot!

2 of us split the Double Barrel (we both have good appetites) and we still took just under half home. It had brisket, ribs, pulled pork, beans and cornbread (but you can sub slaw or regular bun if you want). The smoke is incredible - just the right balance, as is the sauce - not over sauced and they just enhance the quality meat and smokiness. The fries are soooo good - don't skip these - their technique means you taste the potato.

Loving the fact that they've redone the old train station so you can sit inside and out and alot of great people from the community have donated antiques, signage, etc that their forefathers of the Huntsville community had. Just adds to the sense of community! It looks amazing.

We can't wait to go back next Friday (currently, they are open Fri/Sat/Sun), so get it while it's hot and you will be ringing that bell (when you know, you know :).
