Hidden Korean Gem in North Van — Relaxed, Delicious, and Full of Character! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cafe Overflow in North Vancouver is a delightful Korean-run café that instantly feels like a local favourite. Tucked away at Unit 105 with a casual and cozy setup, it offers the perfect blend of modern coffee shop vibes and warm hospitality.
They offer a wide selection of Korean-inspired brunch and café dishes, from croffles with whipped cream to spicy pork rice bowls, truffle mushroom brunch plates, and even comforting truffle potato soup with toast. Everything is affordably priced and prepared with heart.
☕ Their coffee is smooth and rich, with options like hand-drip, espresso, and matcha drinks. My cold brew was refreshingly bold, and the latte (served in a charming green mug) had lovely foam art and a comforting aroma.
🥐 The ham and egg croissant sandwich was a standout — flaky, buttery, and filled generously. Paired with the fresh scrambled egg and side greens, it made for a perfect light lunch.
🪑 One of my favourite features? Their outdoor seating. It’s a peaceful spot to sip your coffee, enjoy the sunshine, and watch the neighbourhood go by. Dog owners will appreciate the water bowl outside too — small touches like this show how thoughtful the team is.
Inside, you’ll find artsy décor, Korean cookbooks, and local snacks that make it feel more like a creative corner than just a café. It’s perfect for brunch dates, catching up with friends, or solo coffee time.
💬 Overall: Authentic food, friendly Korean staff, great coffee, and outdoor tables make Cafe Overflow a must-visit. Whether you’re craving Korean comfort food or just a cozy seat with a good brew, this café...
Read moreToday I was so happy to discover this little Korean-style café inNorth Vancouver . The food was absolutely delicious, and the coffee was even organic! Usually when I come to the NV area, I only visit a few of the well-known cafés, but this time I searched on Google and found this five-star hidden gem — and it truly lived up to the rating. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, always with a smile. The breakfast and brunch menu was really interesting — even the avocado toast came in several creative variations, and the prices were very reasonable. We ordered the Avocado Egg Sourdough Toast and the Bibimbap Bowl for 10.99, with extra mushrooms. Everything was freshly prepared by the chef, so it arrived warm. Their special sauce was unique — a little spicy, a little tangy — drizzled over the avocado toast, paired with fresh salad greens that really boosted the appetite. The beef was also seasoned perfectly, very flavorful, and the coffee was rich and aromatic. Definitely a place I...
Read more42 5-star reviews is seriously incredible for a cafe. And after my visit today (Thursday February 9 2023), I can see why. Firstly, the staff member working in there was very friendly. I was doing some surveying work on the street outside, and she kindly let me use the washroom. She also mentioned that myself and my colleague could use it at anytime during the day. As someone who works outside, small gestures like this mean a lot because it’s often so hard to find washrooms when I’m working in municipalities (versus a construction site). Secondly - the coffee was great. Thirdly - the blueberry scone was amazing, especially when warmed up. And fourthly - had a really awesome clean vibe. Highly recommend and will come back next time I’m in the...
