I’m giving 2 stars because the ring I ended up with was good but the service was worth 0 stars and I will not be returning to this jeweler.

I came in to this store in January to have my and my husbands wedding bands custom made from melting down his grandmothers gold. Our wedding was in April and I wanted to have the rings early to save time to worry about other things.

Long story short, he took 3 months to make our rings and I received them 6 days before our wedding. He made my husbands band with his grandmothers gold but he said mine was too difficult. I respect that but if he had told me that earlier I would never have paid for this as it was really important to me to have that gold and now I never will, at least in this ring.

When I handed my engagement ring to him in January to match the sizing and fix a crack he said I would get it back in a week but I spent the entire 3 months leading up to my wedding without my engagement ring. I called every 2 weeks for an update to which they always responded “soon”. Even 2 weeks before my wedding they said the rings were done but I couldn’t get them back because he was matching the colour of my 2 rings. When I came to get the rings 6 days before my wedding, the colours didn’t even match.

This business stole thousands of dollars from my friend who sold her engagement ring with them. She brought in her old wedding set (pink sapphire ring and her wedding band), they told her they would try to sell it for at least $3000 and they would take 30%. They told her it could take years to sell and that was not an issue. She called periodically and was told it still hasn’t sold. She called back recently to check only to be told it sold THREE YEARS ago and that they had already paid her! Nobody contacted her and she definitely never got any payment. The way they handled her complaint was sketchy, telling her they e transferred her and when she asked for the records of that, they changed their answer and said they gave her cash. Again she asked for records and they said they don’t have any which is illegal, you MUST keep your business records for 7 years for tax purposes. A Diamond fell out of my engagement ring 5 days before my wedding. I called Alex and asked if he could get it done in time (you usually get quoted 2 weeks from any jeweller to do this). He said he could do it for me no problem as I wanted to have it for my wedding. He was even able to rhodium plate it for me. He went above and beyond, made sure I had it as soon as possible so I didn’t stress, and my ring is better than it has been in a while! I’m so so happy with the continued excellent service provided by Alex. I would highly recommend them for any jewelry service you require and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

This is the first time I went to Trio Diamond. They were very professional and super kind. Told me it would be about two weeks and even called me to update on the process before the two weeks was up.
