As someone who lives in Hong Kong and frequently travels to Japan, I have very high standards when it comes to matcha and chai ā and Kenaize CafĆ© honestly serves some of the best Iāve ever had.
Their matcha latte is earthy and smooth with a clean, authentic flavor ā not overly sweet or artificial. The chai latte is warm, spiced just right, and perfectly balanced. You can really taste the quality of ingredients in everything.
Donāt skip the baked goods ā the matcha white chocolate cookies and muffins are outstanding. Everything is made in small batches, fresh, and full of natural flavor.
Stepping into Kenaize feels a bit like walking onto the set of Back to the Future ā thereās something nostalgic and cinematic about it. The aesthetic is minimal but memorable, and somehow the entire experience feels like a pleasant surprise ā the kind that makes you pause and go, āWait⦠this is really good.ā
The couple behind the cafƩ is hands-on, thoughtful, and clearly passionate. Their attention to detail, from the food to the space to the service, makes Kenaize feel personal, elevated, and refreshingly different.
Highly recommended for anyone who loves quality drinks, natural flavors, and...

My 7 year old son devoured the chicken Caesar wrap, my friend absolutely loved the curry chicken sandwich, which looked beautiful, and I thoroughly enjoyed my butter chicken wrap. And last but not least, the maple chocolate mania cake was the perfect little treat. Ugh, it was so good. Thank you Kenaize Cafe for the perfect little lunch, we will be returning customers! (I could not find a way to rate anything on Uber Eats, so...

She proceeded to ask about our plans for the day, explained the local bus schedule and how to get a pass (we'd been paying for uber so far), and doted on our kids the whole time we were there.
I wished for more time in the city if only to visit...
