I went to Moja before, I think A friend took me there Coffee there was delicious and I knew it had a great rep. It’s was a little out of the way but I knew I would return some day I go to coffee shops a lot, I love the vibe of a coffee shop, to chill and to people watch, hower my morning coffee sucked and morning is when you need a GOOD cup of coffee I went to Canadian tire and bought myself a $200 espresso machine, bought some caramel so I can make caramel macchiato’s. I read the manual and watched the video, I was all set up, all I needed was some coffee, suddenly I remembered my experience at Moja I got there and lined up (it was a small line) I ordered a number three grind house espresso The barrister said I get a free coffee with that, I mentioned that I had my caffeine fill for the AM. for and so he poured me a decaffeinated macchiato, it was absolutely delicious, creamy, rich, perfect boldness, I don’t remember decaf tasting so good , I bought a pound of espresso and 1 pound of decaffeinated espresso Anybody can get a job anywhere but I am certain today that everybody who works at Moja loves coffee and loves his product, I am a fan, check it out, you won’t be disappointed

I’m not sure if I can call it hidden gem but this place is super nice and quite hidden. I’ve been here several times. I really love it. The cafe is great and their pastry selection is very nice. The place is very tidy and clean. The staff is very friendly and nice. They know their job!!!! Latte is coming at the perfect time temperature. Parking around here can be tough sometimes.. luckily, I can walk here from my house. Or if you guys shop at Canadian tire, you can leave your car over there and come here. Their merchandise is very cool as well if you’re looking for a small present for someone who likes coffee. Very fairly priced I got 12oz latte with banana bread it was $8.90 after tip or so (under $10).

Dont usually write a post but due to the service it had to be done.

We've been meaning to try Moja for awhile and thought it would be nice to support a small local business (my wife has been in business including F&B for years so she makes an effort at trying new places. Just yesterday a friend reminded me about Moja, we were really looking forward to going and arranged to go with another couple who we usually do Saturday morning coffee and pastries around town.. to meet us there.

It was quite busy when we arrived, we lined up and ordered our coffees and teas and pastries. I brought our chocolate croissant and slice of carrot cake to the table. My wife looked at it and then touched it and it was dry and hard... carrot cake naturally is soft and moist and a dependable go-to treat. She was a bit hesitant but decided to take it up to the side counter and said to the barissta she wished her husband got her a croissant instead and not the carrot cake, could she exchange it? The guy said they couldn't exchange it because it was a different price -never offering the option to pay the difference- then said because it was a food safe issue they couldn't take it back. Funny how other cafes and restaurants can take items away and replace or refund the item...apparently not here! So she left it on the counter... I asked what happened and she told me so..... I went up and told him she dint like it because she found it hard and dry... he countered back and said "I thought she wanted a croissant which is it".... at that point my wife hearing this got up and said, I said that because I didn't want to complain infront of your other customers and impact your sales and embarrass the business and in doing so blamed me for choosing the wrong item. He was argumentative and because of the poor customer service we will never return.

As he walked away with the piece I saw him poke his finger into it.

This kind of argumentative and defensive attitude with customers will drive them away... even a bigger chain would be sure to make things right thus is the extra little thing that can make a difference to a small business by caring about their clients.

Will not be back and will be sure to make use of the word of mouth...
