Avoid! Horrible service. Dishonest! No one was available to seat you. When I asked a server about using Priority Pass, she said the machine was not working so we ended up leaving. I found that strange and went back about 15 minutes later to speak to another server. She said they do take Priority Pass and since I wanted to do take out, she told me to order from the lady working at the bar. That lady (I believe her name is Jessica based on my receipt) completely ignored me. When I tried to flag her down, she said that she was very busy and "you just got here right?". She was very rude and curt in her responses. When finally ordered, i told her I would be paying using my Priority Pass. She was basically walking away from me as we were speaking and muttered "oh Jesus" under her breath....as if it was so difficult to process a Priority Pass payment. I also ask her for some hot water as I needed to warm some milk for my baby. After it's processed, she says she will bring the other machine over so that I can pay tip (even though i was doing take out since I had a plane to catch). I tipped her and then she left helping other customers. Meanwhile, I wait 10 minutes for her to bring me some hot water. I remind her a few times and she just calls out to me across the bar saying she's busy and will have to get it from the back. At this point, I'm pretty fed up as she notices that I'm waiting for hot water, yet ignores me and processes other customer payments, gets meals out and is making drinks. I decide I won't bother with this meal since I had a flight to catch and she did not seem like she had any intention to serve me. I tell her I'm leaving and that I didn't want my meal anymore. She asks "are you sure? it's almost ready" to which I replied I was sure and that I wanted my tip back given that I didn't get a meal or service. She said she would not give it back and if I wanted, I could speak with her manager. Since i didn't have time to do this, I just left.
Overall, Jessica (as per my receipt) deserves to be fired based on her attitude and complete lack of attention to customer service. I basically paid for a meal with Priority Pass and tipped yet got absolutely...
Read moreI recently ate at this restaurant in the airport, and to be honest, it was a real letdown. 30-40$ per plate (not 20-30 as shown).
I don't mind paying top dollar for a good meal, but in this case, the quality of the food and the service just weren't up to par. I felt like they knew they had a captive audience, so they didn't put in much effort to make the experience memorable. I have 2 stars for atmosphere because of the large windows that overlooked the taxi ramp.
As someone who grew up in Montreal, I know that we can sometimes come across as a bit "stuck-up" to outsiders. But this was the first time I experienced it firsthand, and I have to say, I was pretty disappointed. My wife and I were hungry and excited to try the food, but everything we ordered was either bland, cold, or unavailable. Not a great start.
The service wasn't anything special. Our waiter was just doing the bare minimum and seemed to be in a bad mood. He even got into a spat with another customer at a nearby table, which was uncomfortable for everyone nearby. When it came time to pay the bill, he made sure to let us know that the tip wasn't included within the final price. Unfortunately, we had already decided not to tip (first time ever) because the service was so lackluster, but his comments didn't help the situation at all.
As we were leaving, the waiter chased us down and started yelling at us openly within the restaurant. He claimed that his bosses would make him pay the difference if he didn't get a tip. It was awkward and unnecessary, and it just made us feel even more frustrated.
I understand that everyone has bad days, but that's no excuse for serving subpar food and giving bad service. In my opinion, a tip should be earned, not expected. His frustration about pay should have been directed towards his employer, not his customers. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I rate my experience a 2/10.
Pay your employees and your customers will notice...
Read moreIf I could give service a - 5, I would do it. The location looks nice. Good quality is good. Now about the service: we were sitting for 15 mins at the table and no server wanted to approach us. When we politely waved to get their attention the server told us we have to wait (With an attitude). After 15 mins we walked up to the server and asked to order (we have a flight to catch). He really had an attitude taking the order, when we asked for a latte, he snapped at us saying that takes too long, we should order a coffee instead. He brought us our latte and then wanted to bill us right away and said you can tip 18 or 20 % if you wish. He tried to put pressure on us to tip him after having an incredible bad attitude. There is no auto grat at this place. I am a restaurant manager in Vancouver and if I would ever see one of my servers speak to a guest that way, I would fire them on the spot.
The server didn’t give me his name but he looks like he is in his late 40 maybe 50 ‘s. Black short hair and glasses. I will never eat here again. You can have stress at a restaurant but it was not even busy. That attitude was a no go. I had breakfast at this place on December 30th at 8:40 am.
Edit: when I was trying to give him feedback after our visit, he completely rejected any feedback, made excuses that there was stress (it was not even a quarter full ). He told me I just don’t get it. They would have a different system the us in Vancouver. As if that would have anything to do with being rude and having an attitude and forcefully try to get a tip.
A server like that would not stay for even a week...
