A&W Canada — Restaurant in Edmonton

I’ve been waiting months for this location to reopen since I live so close to it. I stopped in last night, granted it was late (12:30am). The ordering process was fine, but I paid with cash and was short changed $2. Whatever, that happens. I was then told to pull around to the front as that was where the clerk would bring my food, again that’s fine. However, I waited 15 minutes for my teen burger and fries, and when it was ready, I had to get out of my vehicle and walk to the door. I have also always been asked if I wanted to pay for a bag, which I always do. This time I wasn’t so I had to take items unbagged and put them on the seat of my car. The fries were already cold, and I also wasn’t given a straw for my root beer. I was able to get a straw once I arrived home, but when I took the lid off of my root beer, it was just over half full. My main issue here is, I went through the drive thru, which implies you don’t need to leave your vehicle. I am able bodied, but what if someone wasn’t and had to leave their vehicle, in slushy snow, go to the door and be handed their individual items?! Unmanageable. I don’t blame the employee, but the company. More training and staffing...

Firstly nobody would come to the intercom or window and the front door is locked so I had to yell from my car through the window of the front of the closed Petro station. Then I order a mozza. I get it it’s got two slices of cheddar and a single this strip of bacon I go back and have to yell hello into the intercom finally a girl comes. She says ya we don’t have mozza so I gave you two slices of cheddar. Umm what? You should probably tell customers ordering mozza burgers that. Essentially I just got a teen burger with no pickles extra cheddar. Mozza burgers are my favourite and only burger i like and i actually just don’t like that type of cheddar on my burger much less extra. I’m just blown away. I was upset but I find East Indian are always women incredibly kind and sweet so it’s pretty much impossible to be upset with them at all, and she really believed she had done me a solid with the extra cheddar so I just kinda laughed and said ok thanks. A&W at this location is located inside the convenience store of a fuel station: fuel up, buy a pop and grab a burger. Obviously not a place to sit and relax with friends but excellent if you are on the go. They did not have the Beyond Meat burger available. June 13 2025, +-7 pm Yesterday we drove thru and that is why i discovered too late they gave me a buddy burger instead of a mamma burger. The meat was too dry, the onin didn't taste good and too few pickles. I tossed the whole thing in the garbage and will not be going back to that place but next time will choose the a,&w kingsway. To top it, that place made us wait about 8 or nine minutes , even though there were no other customers that...
